SOME "VINTAGE" PHOTOS

I am 10 years old here. This was taken at my Grandparents home. My Grandma's name is Zetta, like the flower. Her sister's names are Pansy and Daisy. Isn't that sweet!! My Grandparents have passed on. They took us on great summer vacations, they had a huge garden and the freezer always had treats to eat. Grandpa would always eat the burnt marshmallows when we made them over the fire. He took us fishing and was so kind. I miss them. Sorry the color is so dark. My Mom made our dresses and see our little puppy. I think that was Pixie. The simple life:)

I am going through some "vintage" Christmas photos and will be sharing them with you the next few weeks and think it would be fun if you did the same....some fun memories. It's feeling a lot like Christmas and I have the BUG to start decorating for Christmas....Have a great day.
Warmly,
Deb

Love that picture, Deb! I have pictures like that also. I'll have to pull them out and post one of these days. I'm making my mother and brother scrapbooks for Christmas so I really need to start looking through pictures. Thanks for the motivation! You look so cute and I love your dress!!! Looks like you did too!

Nice picture of your family! I, too, have been wanting to decorate for Christmas, but hubby won't let me. Still too early for him.

I have a Daisy myself. Love the flower names and the picture. I would have liked a whole boquet of flowers, but five kids seemed to be the limit! I'm collecting other flowers with kid's spouses and now a grandchild!

Hi Deb,
I set the blog back up and left a message for those who thought I didn't say good bye properly.
I am hurting badly and need time to heal. Love, Brook

Deb,
That is a sweet picture and story of your beloved grandparents! I just love vintage Christmas photos. What a nice family you have. That's great that your mom made your dresses! I'm holding off on decorating for Christmas because I'm having guests for Thanksgiving! Otherwise I'd be all over that! :) Have a fun week!

Victoria Lynn

My grandparents had that very same tree! They had the cool rainbow color wheel that turned the silver different colors, too. Man, I loved that tree.

Aren't those photos just priceless?

I noticed the aluminum tree, too. We never had one of those, we lived in the country and always went out and cut our tree down. You know, now that I think of it, I don't know why, but I don't think we have many Christmas photos of when I was a child. I'll have to check that out.

What a fun picture. I don't believe that I have any pictures of past Christmases.
I will have to ask my brother if he has any. I have only seen only a few pictures of us siblings that where not "school day" photos.
I look forward to seeing yours.
