Here is the Christmas tree all decorated in vintage ornaments , white lights and tinsel. I have an angel on top of my tree. I've had her for YEARS. What do you put on top of your tree?
Ornaments on the tree.

For the past 4 years, I've bought a Gingerbread house for "us" girls to decorate. Last year the house wouldn't stay together. After it was all decorated...it fell apart...so this year before we started to decorate it....I hot glued it together...YUP...Hot Glued it.

Kailee wanted to Eat the candy and frosting. She really loves sugar and would eat it out of a bowl.

Goofing around with frosting.

All done and waiting for the house to set. They will take it home tomorrow. This is a tradition that I hope we will do for years. What projects are you working on?? I joined the Christmas Card Swap That Jan started and have to get going on the cards. Sorry to say, they will not be handmade. Not enough time. I just learned I could change the text color....AMAZING, what you can do when one looks at the computer. Have a great week. Not sure when we'll "talk "as I need to get stuff done around here.

Love your tree with all its vintage ornaments. It makes decorations look so much more interesting and meaningful. Also laughed at the thought of hot gluing your gingerbread house! ha

Hi Deb...your decorations look lovely! I have decorated my share of Gingerbread houses over the years. I would have NEVER thought about hot-gluing it together, though!!! LOL!!!

I got all of my cards for the SWAP as well as others done today. They'll be going in the mail tomorrow!

Is that a real tree? I know that it smells so wonderful. I o love real trees. We cannot have one as we have a wood burning stove and it would dry out to quickly. A great picture of you all and the gingerbread house. Such good times!!♥♥♥

Oh good for you for making your very own gingerbread house! Hot glue is a great idea. No one eats them anyway.

Your tree is very pretty. Love the vintage ornaments.

I think people put the angel on the tree to watch over all the lovely ornaments so they won't fall and break. LOL

I would expect nothing but vintage on your tree.
I bet it is BEAUTIFUL!
My brother does the gingerbread houses. I never did get the hang of it.
The last few years on the top of my tree has been a GIANT bow.
I am not sure what will be there this year.

Stop by again when you get the chance okay...I always love to see you've visited....

Your tree is very pretty. The gingerbread house only proves that a glue gun is an indispensable item to have. I remember the little gingerbread houses the kids made in school with their milk carton.

Christmas joy to You! Your tree looks beautiful. You all look so cute working on that gingerbread house. Why not hot glue it? No one eats it anyway. Take time to enjoy the season. Twyla

Great gingerbread house! My daughter and her boyfriend are making one after their exams are over. In the spring her bf likes to blow them up with fireworks! (That's how she gets him to make it with her...the promise of blowing it up in the spring! LOL)

Have a great day!

Hi Deb, I love your tree. It is so pretty with the silver. What a lovely tradition you've started. I had to read the hot glue sentence twice. Too funny. The girls are so sweet and were having so much fun.

I love Gingerbread houses. When I make one it lasts forever due to the lack of humidity but I understand that in some parts of the country they are short lived. Eating some of the house decor is part of the fun. What happy photos.

Look how great that tree looks. I still haven't gotten mine yet. Maybe this weekend...we'll see.
How fun to decorate a gingerbread house. I may have to see if my little boys are interested in something like that. Your "girls" are so pretty. I just noticed that your granddaughter's eyes are shaped like yours :0).
If I don't 'see' you much the rest of the week, enjoy!

Hi Deb... I loved the Gingerbread House and the sweet tradition you've started... And, your Christmas Tree is awesome! I ♥ old ornaments... sadly, due to all of the pets, I cannot hang mine on our tree... Sounds like you're busy as a bee already... Hope everything's going well... God bless...
