THE NEW YEAR, SO FAR

This is my Valentine card making mess, I mean design area!!! I have so many ideas in my little mind and not enough space to work in. I hope this is the Year that my Craft Room in completed. Below are the cards I made for the January card swap that is next Thursday. The theme is Thank You cards. I borrowed this stamp from a friend. I just Love it !!

Mack and Jackson Brown were enjoying themselves by the fire when I was taking down all the Christmas decorations. Sometimes they are just too darn CUTE!!

WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE.....Do I see some CHOCOLATE below...????

Kailee took this pictures of some Very Yummy candy my ex MIL gave me. She loves me and my husband. If you are wondering if there are any left....well...NO... I ate them ALL, but not at one time. They were peanut butter cream candy. I would love to have more, however I am trying to not eat candy, cakes, cookies, etc.... that is why I HAD to eat them all before the New Year !!!
Yesterday we went to a mall that was having an antique show and all I bought were a few vintage valentines. Some to keep, some to alter and some to give away....be on the look out for a little Valentine give away coming up on a future post. It will be like the last one, no telling others, you just have to be someone who reads my blog to enter and leaves a comment. Nothing fancy for the "treasure" that will be given away.
I hope you all had a nice weekend. Isn't it exciting to see what great things will be happening in the New Year and all the Fun will have!!?? and ideas to share :)
Peace, Love and Joy to You.
Deb :)

P.S. Mom is home and is doing fine. She has a nurse that has visited her to see how she is doing and to answer questions which is great. Thank you again for all your prayers :) :)

Hi Deb! I love those Valentine cards. They are so very pretty!! I like making cards also, but I'm not as good as you are!!

I'm glad your mom is doing better. That was scary, I'm sure.

Hi Deb!
I'm so happy to hear that mom is doing well. I will continue to pray. Woo! Look at all those cards! I guess your creative juices really are flowing! I've seen your cards and have some you've sent and they are Fabulous!
It sounds like your holidays were a wonderful time and I think you and your hubbs make a very handsome couple.
Mack and Jackson Browne are just the handsomest fellows! I love that picture of them. They seem like they are just brothers. Where was Scout?
Chompers is BEAUTIFUL! Is he a pit? I think pits are beautiful dogs and are judged so unfairly. I've had two pits and they were both such docile girls.
I hope you are able to stay strong when it comes to your new year's resolutions. I made a few and spending more time with my youngest son and working on instilling a love of reading and books is high on my list, as is taking better care of myself, and getting my house organized and dejunked :0). it's a small..er cozy house, so I have to be inventive sometimes. lol!
Hugs!

Wow, that sure is some card making operation you've got going on there...and they turned out beautiful. The stamp of the little girl is adorable and the ribbon sure sets it off perfectly.

I wish I had all of my Christmas stuff put away. I've been in bed sick since New Year's day. Hopefully I'll be up and around by tomorrow so that I can finish things up before I go to work on Tuesday.

Thank you for always asking about Jake. Yes, he will be getting his wheels and we will be trying to get him hydrotherapy too...it's just that it's 2 hours away. Regardless of the distance, I think we're gonna give it a try for this cute, sweet little guy of ours.

Hi Deb,
I love seeing all the chaos on your table, that is exactly what mine looked like when I was making Christmas ornaments, lol. It looks like you are making some adorable Valentine cards and the thank you cards you made are the sweetest, I love them. I am glad to read that your Mom is doing good. Happy New Year!

Very happy for your mom tell her I said Happy New Year, even though she does not know me. You know what that candy reminds me of, a box of chocolate turtles, they were pecans and caramel covered over with chocolate, my husbands favorite.

Hi Deb... I ♥love♥ visiting with you because I always come away with such a warm heart 'n smiles... I'm so extremely happy to hear about how well things are going for your sweet Mom... Our Lord is such a great Healer and I'm thankful for the blessings He's given to you 'n your family...

Your cards are simply beautiful, Deb, and I wish I could spend time with you, making some... of course I'd probably sneak away for a lil bit to snuggle with the poochies by the fireplace! My lil Cocoa Puff still isn't sure what to think about our fireplace... she barks at it instead of curling up and enjoying it... silly puppy!

I'm excited to hear about an upcoming craft room for you! Hopefully you'll be able to take some before, during 'n after photos to share with us... and, needless to say, I'm very tickled to know that you're offering another one of your wonderful give~aways soon! YAY!!!

Hope your weekend was wonderful, and I hope 'n pray that this new year is kind to you... God bless...

~hugs, love ♥ 'n prayers~

I thought I was the only crazy one getting ready for the next holiday before the previous one is barely over! Last year, since Easter was so early, I replaced my Christmas decorations with bunnies....I have to admit that was really pushing it! I love your "design studio"....looks better than mine! Don't you know that all we "creative types" are nothing but mess-makers? I always say, you can't be creative and keep your workspace clean at the same time...does not compute! Thanks for sharing!

You have LOADS of comments! So fantastic!!!
Your pups are DEAR! When our kittens were just wee paws they would snuggle up next to our black lab on her bed...before we knew it...pup was hanging over the edge & the wee paws were all stretched out hoggin' the warmth!
My studio & your current work place look like the same room~ I always find other peoples "piles" MUCH MORE beautiful than my disaster! tee hee...
Beautiful cards!
Wishing you the best,

That candy looks so good my mouth is watering looking at it. It had been so hard for me to break away from the sugar. I was eating cake icing with a spoon yesterday. It seems all they can show on tv is food. It drives me crazy!!
