Thursday's Treasures, a Fairy House and Twyla's coming

My pretty Snowball bush...
Kailee and I decided to make a fairy we gathered some pretty things for the fairies Kailee decided what went where and I hot glued the items on the box...and we found some fairies at Target for the "real" fairies to visit a few other things that Kailee thought the fairies would like. The fairy house is outside...but comes in at night. Just in case some critter comes along and decides to make it their new house.

The blue printed place mats are for ME...and see the sweet little "His & Hers" coffee pots!!

The blue sewing box needs a little hot glue and a button closure.
Look what Kailee and I found at some garage sales...finally...the "hunting" has been poor..the items above are from the thrift store we also went to!! The prices were very good on the treasures for resale..we went to 4 garage sales on Thursday.
I just LOVE finding Treasures!!! Sometimes I think I need/want a bigger house...
Today I put the first coat of varnish on the 2nd door along with the trim...Only 2 more coats to go and then hubby can put them up... they are for the guest room......
I'm getting them done before TWYLA, from Two Crazy Crafter's comes for a virtual visit sometime before winter. She is walking here...good for getting in shape and VERY GREEN!!!
She does blog about it if you want to visit her sometime. We have become very good friends because of blogging!!! So...I want the guest room all ready for when she gets here along with the whole house. It's good to have a goal!!!
The weekend is here....I think we'll go to a couple of estate sales in the morning..and then back to varnishing the door and trim...
Deb :)

News Flash!!!
My BFF...Mary-Ella (ME) has a BLOG and I would so appreciate it if you would go over and say HI and encourage her!!! Thanks...Deb :)

Beautiful snowball bush and cute fairy house too. Pickings have been slim here in the thrift world as well. I wondered today what is up with these discount stores? In these economic times you would think prices would be getting cheaper , but I see them going up. Not a good trend.

Hello Deb, thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such a sweet comment. Love your snowball bush and Kailee's Fairy house is adorable! Great garage sale finds, I have a thrift store close by that has everything for 25 cents each. No matter what it is. The money goes to charity. Always something neat in there. I'm gonna check out ME's Blog and Twyla is really walking to your home?
I'll save you some hollyhock seeds. Use my email link on my blog in the top right corner and send me your address. They should be ready for plucking in a few weeks so I will mail them to you then. Plant the seeds in Aug. then if they reach 6 inches by the first frost then they should come back next year.
Have a great week.
Bless you, Shirl

Hey Deb!
Oh it looks like you and Kailee had such fun making those precious fairy boxes! I love all of the finds you found too. I know what you mean sometimes... about wishing for a bigger place for collecting more treasures....I'm always dreaming I could get a big ol' house...with lots of shelving, so I could fill each room with the treasures I find!! LOL! I will just have to keep rotating things until then...LOL!
Come on over, when you get the chance...I finallly posted.
Big Hug,

Thanks for stopping by my blog. So you too are renovating and a fellow garage sale fanatic! Isn't it amazing how well you can connect to people through common interest.
So besides the newspaper is there any better way to learn of estate sales? I am always on the hunt for things to add to the Shabby Old House. So far just about every room has been a find along the way. Love it !
Hope you will stay in touch.

Love the fairy house. I keep thinking about making one with my girls.

They already have a fairy door and leave them shinny gifts. You do know to leave them shinny things?

My daughter couldn't find her favorite marble one day I hear her yelling at the fairies to give it back! LOL
