Thrift Store Finds, JOY and More...

I picked up this "JOY" today at a monthly occasional sale. Theses types of sales are very popular around here. I love old, chippy tin :)

A little, easy project....simple 1.00 frame...
vintage music and more JOY!!!

Thrift store finds...for resale...

More thrift store finds to sell...the set of 4 napkins with pretty napkin rings were only 3.99 for the set!!! DEAL!!! I need to find some for myself.

This tag is for Elizabeth at Creative Breathing. We are doing a one to one tag swap. I am showing you the one I made for her...she should have hers by the time this is posted...otherwise SURPRISE!!!

When I was at the thrift store on Tuesday, I was there for 3 hours!!!. I love buying books there. They are so cheap!! I try to find decorating ones that I don't have to add to my collection. I could probably spend more time there as they are always stocking the shelves.
Update from Monday...teacher's helper: I checked their homework papers, made sure that there were 20 pennies in old film canisters. Not exactly what I was thinking I would be doing.
Now I'm busy getting things marked for the sale next week at HQ...LOTS of treasures to get ready and then to make my space look very inviting :) I was there today and it's looking like CHRISTMAS!!!
Warmly,
Deb :)

Hi Deb -
Oh my gosh girl...you scored! Love the tin JOY sign and the framed Joy sign :) I with you, I get most of my books from the thrift store and am always adding to my collection of decorating books. I just picked up two Ethan Allen decor books, nostalgia since I used to work for Ethan Allen, fot 1.99 each :)
Oh, my Grand Opening went fantabulous!! Great day for customers and sales :) But I am happily exhausted :)
Hugs,
Toni

Sounds like so much fun at the Thrift Store. Isn't it fun to just wander around and then wander around some more. I love the JOY sign.

Have a nice evening.

I am creating my ATC for November.

Yes...books and more books. Don't ya love a deal? I scored this summer at an auction when they auctioned off a ROOM of books. I got them for $20!!! There were hundreds of books...I'm reading, selling, and crafting with them. Total book heaven! We would have fun thrifting together!

Deb, I especially love the Joy tin...what a great find.

Our prices at Goodwill have jumped sky hig so I haven't been there in awhile. Maybe I'll make a trip there soon to see if they've got any Christmas treasures I can't live without.

Did you get a new job?

Deb, you and I could definitely go thrifting together, because I spend lots of time in the book section too! Whenever I go with someone, they're always standing around waiting for me to be finished, so I prefer to go alone!
That tag is really pretty, and I think your swap partner will be very happy with it!

Deb,
Congratulations on winning that cute little angel and tree!!

I've made some little signs using music background and putting a word on it, but never would have thought to turn the music up and down like your 'joy' is. very cute idea.

blessings and have a great Sunday.

Hi Deb, I just love that metal tin JOY sign, You found some real goodies! Thanks for coming by. At the Insp. Home sale I went bonkers. She has super reasonable prices so I found some really cute snowflake trees, bought Amaryllis bulbs, a snowman, and a couple of really gorgeous mercury glass votive holders. Can't wait to get it all out for Christmas! More pix coming Wed!

I can relate to spending three hours in a thrift store ... I like to slowly look at everything, and then go around and do it again because it's so hard to take it all in the first time.

Your tag is pretty, and I like the chippy Joy tin. I mailed your ATC last week so you should have it any day now.

Hi Deb, thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment. Love your cute post here with a little look at Christmas. Your tag is adorable for Elizabeth. I really need to hit our thrift store in town. I have been avoiding it because I have to much stuff. LOL
Have a great week.

Hey Deb,
I love seeing your finds for the week...(I bet there's alot of pretty pics in that Victoria book, I've got one of those Christmas ones and I always like to look through it year after year), that's such a cute idea for that frame....and that little tag is precious that you made too. It's beginning to look alot like Christmas everywhere isn't it? I can hardly wait to start decorating...I think I'm gonna get an early start this year. Hope you have a wonderful week!
