A Bit More of Christmas ...

Here is my humble Christmas tree with the vintage ornaments on it along with poinsettias and white lights. The needlepoint Santa is also from my friend Carol...
Simple mantle. I've had these swans for years and this is their year for Christmas.
I'm thinking I should have taller candle stick holders on the left side of the mantle. I'll be checking out the thrift store.

I was in the Altered Christmas Cabinet card swap and my package came in this darling tin. My swap partner was Linda at Lambsworld. She is very talented. Thank You Linda!!! Loving my new treasures!

She made the sweet tags and you can't go wrong with Hankies and Button Cards!!! I found it very challenging to alter the cabinet card.

This is the cabinet card that I altered and sent to her.
I have a little more Christmas decor to share with you next week. I'm getting ready for the sale at HQ that starts on Thursday. Still need to get my room ready. Busy weekend ahead. I want to start my Christmas cards, wrap a few gifts and I have a cookie exchange to go to Monday evening. Fun, fun, fun.
Some of you gals know Kathy from Kat Collects. You can read her post. She is on my sidebar. She and her family need much prayer. Her husband is in the hospital with a serious infection that has left him unable to this time.... The doctors aren't sure if he will walk again. Please lift them up in prayer and ask God to completely heal her husband. God hears and answers! Thank you.
I am sorry that I'm not visiting as I would like to. After next weekend...I'm thinking time will be on my side...
We have a little snow. Not much to do about. It's getting cold here. I'm all bundled up! Hubby teases me because I wear so much inside. You would think with all my extra body weight, I wouldn't get so cold...
Have a great weekend.
Deb :)

Thanks so much for posting about Kathy. I feel terrible; I've been out of touch for way too long.

Your tree looks wonderful! I, too, love to tuck white poinsettia flowers into the tree branches. It really adds a special touch (I think).

Hi Miss Deb -
Your tree looks so lovely, and your mantle also. I have to tell you, great minds think alike! I put poinsettias in my tree also, except mine are pink and I have the same swans (the two smaller ones). Hope you have a great sale!

Take care, Sue

Your tree looks lovely Deb! I really enjoy seeing people's trees, because there are no two alike! And that is no simple mantle. It's so elegant! I can't believe how fast time is flying. I think we'll all be decorating and crafting right up 'til Christmas!
Have a wonderful weekend!

I like your tree-- it looks so pretty with the poinsettas. The swams are beautiful.

I'm glad you received my ATC and look forward to receiving your's. I know what you mean about being cold and dressing in layers-- my place is freezing! I'm constantly wrapping myself in a fleece blanket.

Hope you have a great weekend ... sounds like you will be very busy.

Thanks so much for stopping by my place recently. I LOVE the jumbo bulbs you have sitting on the candlesticks here. Great idea.
What a fun swap (with cabinet cards). Your partner did a great job and so did you!!!
Count me in concerning your friend's husband. What a struggle to face during Christmas.
Take care,

Your Christmas decorations all look so nice and festive. I like your vintage tree decor. So sad about your friends hubby. Will say a special prayer for him.

I need to get busy, I have no decor out yet, I am out looking for inspiration and there is no better place to get inspired than blog land.

Hugs to you Deb,

Everything looks so lovely. We have not even started putting up our decorations yet. Too much going on, and everyone going in different directions. Hopefully next week :-)

Hey Sweetie!
So nice to see ya! Sounds like you have been busy like me. Its not gonna get better for me cause now my dd is playing basketball and that means at least 2-3 nights a week of games.

I love your decor..and am slowly trying to get mine done.'s a way to make your shorter candle stick appear taller..find some books or boxes to put them on..and use your greenery to hide them. I do that all the time!

Glad you like your cone!

Have a great weekend!

Thanks so much for your sweet comments on my Bonnie sheltie dog incident! These fur-kids can be a hand-full! Sounds like you had a similar incident with your dog eating all that chocolate! Yikes!

I love your dear Christmas tree! It reminds me so much of the one we had in the 50's! Love all your decorations! Hugs, Coralie
