BURRRR...Staying Inside

Woke up this morning to -15 below and that isn't the windchill temp....guess it got up to -8 for the high today...so me and the "boys" stayed inside today...
These are my crafting tables in the family room. I had a "fire" going in the gas fireplace today and started working on Valentine projects...yesterday too!!!

Yup...stuff everywhere...I'm a messy crafter...Maybe this year my craft room will happen...
Hubby went on a "man date" with a buddy to see the 3 hour movie Avatar...not something that I would like to see...so everyone was happy today, doing their own thing...
I ask myself often and only in the winter..."WHY" do I live here...????
Trying to keep...
Warm(ly)
Deb :)

That is cold. Yikes. I can't believe your husband even stepped outside.

I love your motivation to be working on Valentine's projects. I am just now taking down my Christmas tree today.
Warm hugs, Sue

WOw that is cold burrrr... I don't think I have ever felt the climate that cold in my life and were talking a long life (: My craft area ends up looking very messy too. But I am enjoying doing some projects. Stay warm. Hugs, Diane

Hi Deb.
It was cold here today. Ususally we can get away with a heavy sweater but needed a coat today.

My art/craft studio is always a mess. I have papers, ribbons and greeting cards all the floor! I would never take a photo of my mess. lol

Hugs, Sharon

It sure is cold there. Michigan cooled down today too. My brother dragged my to see Avatar and I surprisingly got into it. That is def. not my kind of film, but I tried to give it a chance and ended up liking it...only because there is a love story!! :)

Keep Warm!!

Oh my! I don't think I even know what that kind of cold would feel like.

I would think the dogs would pee ice cycles.

Good for you staying inside. Wish I lived near by so I could come craft with you.

Hugs,
Joanne

Glad you all stayed warm today! Sorry it is so cold. We are really cold here in NC too but we don't get it too much and never for very long. I'm enjoying it!! I have heard Avatar is good, but like you I really don't want to see it. Just no interest. I am trying to craft but nothing is really turning out. I don't usually have this problem. I guess I just don't know what I want to do yet. I'll try again tomorrow. Stay warm!
Hugs, Lisa

Hello Deb, Happy New Year, love your post this week. Looks like fun, I'm itching to get some Valentine crafts out! Looks like you had a nice Christmas at your house. I loved looking at all your pics. Your pups are adorable, they look like they have the best spot in the house! It's been snowing here since yesterday and not supposed to stop until Thursday. I guess I might have a longer Chrismtas break!

Have a great week!

Your boys are sure cute! I can't believe you're working on Valentine's Day crafts. Good for you! I need to start on my ATCs for January. I'm with you, Avatar is not my kind of movie. Happy new year, Deb!

om Goodness how do you live there??? It is 13 for the high here today and I thought I was freezing to death last night trying to get the horses settled in. I could feel my heart beating in my face it was so cold when I return to my car. I can't imagine what -15 would feel like. We have had a wind chill like that before and the news tells us to stay inside. It always feels like my nose is freezing from the inside. I bet you have some warm clothes and coats to help do deal with it and I bet everyone there has a garage for the vechiles?
Stay warm and have a ball with all those craft supplies.

Wow! And I was complaining because we are unseasonably cold, in the 20's and 30's here! I don't know how you take it! Looks like you found a great way to stay warm and pass the time, though...crafting! I scrapbooked a lot when my kids were younger, and I usually made a huge mess! I think that is part of the creativity! LOL! Can't wait to see what you created!

Do you ever hear anything from Pearl? I've left several comments, but noticed she hasn't posted in a long while. Really worried about her! Let me know if you hear anything, please.

Wishing you and your family many blessings for the New Year! ~hugs, Rhonda :)

Happy crafting to you, sounds like fun. We didn't get that cold, but had freezing rain over night but low and behold the sun is shinning right now, we are in the 20 degrees this week. Hope your holidays were nice. Waiting in the year 2010 to see what you find and see it on your blog.

Hi Deb.....

Ahhhhhh...........a girl after my own heart. I make horrible messes too. I see some girlies' craft rooms all neat and tidy and sooooo wonder how they do that?! I end up working in about six square inches....stuff piled all around me.

Can't wait to see your finished projects....

I'm trying to get hubby to see Avatar with a friend too. Not my kind of flick.

Huggies and Happy New Year!
