Cigar boxes and Bottles

I've been collecting cigar boxes for awhile. I like the wooden ones to store little treasures. You are also seeing the unfinished craft room...yes that is the ceiling...that isn't!!! One of these days I will have a lovely craft room!!! Hubby says If/when I get a JOB...the craft room could be finished...
Just a cute little vintage dog pull toy. His little legs move when he is pulled.

Small old and maybe not so old bottles. Hubby and I gravitate to smaller treasures...

Vintage perfume, cosmetic bottles

More little bottles....I have more just not sure where they are....

Here is the story behind this old jar....It was bought at my first auction. I LOVE IT and the old label on it is priceless to me. I've had it for 13 years...maybe longer...(the mind is first to go!)
Sunday we will be going to a friends home for the Super Bowl...and we have been doing that for many years. I pick the underdog to win...it's a time to eat and watch those great commercials. I am not a football person...
Didn't go to lunch today...another time. Next week is my sister's 50Th birthday and I am making a collage for her. I wish I had more photos to use...I'll take a picture when it's done.
Have a great weekend...this month is flying by....that means spring is around the corner!!!
Warmly,
Deb :)

I love the big jar. I have one that was my grandmother's that came with coffee in it. I keep some cookie cutters inside. Love the pull toy, dog, too! Very cute! Isn't it fun to look for treasures...you never know what you will find! You always find the best stuff! ♥

I love cigar boxes! I adore the way they smell: that aged, seasoned scent of wood mixed with fresh tobacco (fresh tobacco actually smells pretty nice). :)

I like cigar boxes, too. Your bottles are so pretty. Hope you have fun on Sunday. I'm going to lunch and a pedi with a friend.

I'll be sending you my ATC tomorrow. Mine are not too fancy this month.

Love your collections!

Now that the Vikings are out, I have lost a bit of interest in football. I'm looking forward to Spring and Twins baseball. Have a nice weekend.

I love the things you collect Deb...I have a bunch of small bottles, too. I fill them with pearls or buttons and then decorate them. I made one for the swap we were both in, for Linda Smith. With the Steelers not playing, I'm with you on the underdog team. It would be nice for New Orleans to win. Have fun!!

I'm a bottle lover also, my husband got me started! He found some Paris perfume bottles for me once and that started it all. LOVE all those cigar boxes. They looked great stacked and they're practical too!
Have a really fun SB weekend!

I like the wooden cigar boxes too! I have a couple. You have a nice collection of small bottles. That dog pull toy sure is cute. I love it when old jars have their original label even if it's peeling. I have a soft spot for the old Crystal syrup bottles. Have a nice weekend! Twyla

Yes, spring is around the corner....I'm truly believing that...lol..we got another white (plush) carpet of snow last night. My Dad collects old cardboard cigar boxes and I'm always thrilled to find one at a rummage sale or thrift shop/antique store, but they are getting hard to find. Enjoyed your blogpost today. I'm looking forward to taking pix of my flower gardens one of these days and posting them. AND GARAGE SALES aren't far away!!!!

Hi Deb, thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment. I told you I loved your hankies on your mantel so I dug mine out and put the on my shelf. I hope you don't mind that I did that.
I love your cigar boxes, what a cute collection.
Love that old jar too! I was reading about your tag you did with Creative Blessings, that sounds like fun I might go see what that is all about.
Sounds like a fun Superbowl party you have planned. Have fun!
