Estate Finds and it's Sunny Outside!!!

Finally, a pretty good estate sale! It was in an old Victorian house! The house has a turret on each level...that would be 3 of them! Awesome old house!!!The owner was "cleaning out" some of her things. You could only go into the living room and up into the attic which had the "good stuff"!!!
These items are from the thrift store and estate sale. The basket has shell flowers in it.

Awesome old lamp shade forms.

Old books, bag of spools and the blue and white sponge ware is a McCoy piece with the mark LC which means Lancaster Colony and the number 7533. I looked around on the Internet and found prices from 48-60 dollars...I paid 6.00!! I'm keeping it for awhile.

Fun old chalk, never used and the sweet little dog bank!

This photo is from December....Kailee turned 7 years old today! We went out for dinner and I gave her number 7 of the ceramic birthday girls. She told me she needs number 3 as it was lost or broken when they moved.
It was SUNNY and in the 60's on Sunday!!!! A sure sign of Spring!!!
This week I'll be taking my friend, Sharon out for her birthday lunch. She is the one who lives in a "cottage" with other folks with memory loss issues and she is my age and we have been friends since 7th grade. It's a little harder to take her out now as she uses a wheelchair when she goes out. It will be a nice time for her. That's my Friday plan. Saturday work at How Quaint from 9-1 then go to Kailee's birthday party. Sunday work HQ for 4 hours again.
This month is going by so quickly....April will to as there is A LOT going on for me in that month.
Don't give up on me visiting you. :)
Hubby's real estate deals aren't working out as planned...however I know that God provides in His time :) waiting builds character I've heard.
Warmly,
Deb :)

Hi Deb- Great finds! Are you in How Quaint in Shakopee? Are the pics of your new room from there? I thought it looked just like the room we had there! My daughter and I were dealers there for 7 months when it first opened and we were dealers at Haupt with Teresa! Haven't been out that way for awhile- time for a visit!

Oh, how fun it would have been to explore that house! I love Victorians! You found some great stuff as usual! I have a little 3 birthday girl. I am not sure if its the same one you collect for Kailee or not..but I found 1-2-and 3 little girls at a garage sale last year. I will dig it out and take a pic for you of it if you want me to. Just let me know!

Happy birthday to Kailee! She's beautiful.

Looks like you found some nice items at the estate sale. I like those old spools. I always thought that "HQ" stood for "head quarters"!

Hope you get lots more sunny Spring days, Deb.

You always find the best stuff. Can't wait for them to start here. I love the room by the way on the previous post.

On to the note cards, I was so taken back when I opened the card and saw Abbys little picture. I was moved to tears. I want to put them on my blog in a bit and do a link back to you if that is ok. I love them and I am excited to show them off to everyone. I have 2 more reviews to do, then I'm free to do whatever. I am getting a free food prosessor for a review and have a horse show sponser that gave me 5 show pads to give them an excellant rating on ebay and a story on my blog. Pretty cool huh. I need that food processor so bad. I hat espending money on necessities like that. It sorta like gasoline to me.
I surprized my hubby with the cards and told him to look what we got in the mail today. That little dog is his baby and his old tuff heart melted when he saw them. I probably will never bring myself to actually use them I love them so much.
Scooby is doing wonderful. I bought him a cheap little harness on ebay and it came today. I have been driving him so it will be fun to play with the real stuff for a change. I am slowly and steady working on the little cart. Little by little I am getting it sanded. I made Scooby some really cute sport boots to wear around his ankles, they are really flashy and cute on him. It is going to be hard to sell him, he is such a smart little guy and is learning so many new tricks. He is bowing for me really good and almost going all the way down to a lay down, but we are still wlrking on that. I have a little show I am working on with him and I would love to take him to the hospital to visit the sick children. That would be such a blessing. I ask him if he thinks Dwight is a bid dummy and then I secretly give him a jelly bean and he will shake his head real big "yes". It is so cute. I plan to video him for the blog when he gets alittle mnore consistant and the pony cart is all painted up.

Sorry this is so long, I should have sent it by email, but comments are so much more fun for some reason.

See ya Deb,
Shanda

The hunt is exciting... Thanks for stopping by... Running into Sam or seeing him from time to time is not unusal... He is Defiance boy... His mom and dad lives just a couple miles down the road... I went to school and knew Sam's dad since we were 5... Graduated together so am pretty familiar with the family.Enjoy your day.

Hi Deb,
That sale would be so interesting in that house! Glad you got to see at least two areas. Those things are good fun things to find.

Kailee is very lovely :) I pray that the real estate dealings will go as hoped.

The mantle with the flowers on my site definitely would be good for after Easter!

Such sweet finds!

I so wanted to collect Josef Birthday Dolls when I was little because my two cousins had them. Our little family just couldn't afford them on a Pastor's Salary. So, when I had my girl I began purchasing them. Only I wanted the OLD ones. I set my cap to find the ones from the 1950's on and find them I did. Now I'm building another set for my Miss K who also turned 7 last November.

Now...go decorate your Glove Boxes! :)
