Thursday with Jeanne and Weekend finds

On Thursday I spent some of the day with my friend, Jeanne. When I went to her house and opened the front door...she started singing "Happy Birthday" to me and had this AWESOME cart with the pretty cloth liner...which she MADE!!! Isn't is just darling!! She is going to make another one and I'll see how well they sell at HQ...The top is the front of the cart.
This is the back with 2 pockets for your cash, keys, etc....isn't she a sweetie!!! THANK YOU, JEANNE!!!

So....we went to the "Chickadee" cottage that has handmade treasures. Found some yummy lotion and lip balm and a little birdie pin. We found lots of ideas to try! Of course we also went to a couple of garage sales, a community sale and a thrift store.

We didn't want to stop for "McD's" to go....yes...we were on a mission!!!

These goodies are from an estate sale that I went to on Friday. I went to 2 of them. Love the "iron" piece. There are 2, however 1 is already on my bathroom wall. A good size tin of buttons that I will have to organize, maybe tonight while watching TV....
Today our local new credit union/bank had their open house. They had a large "box" that had money in it and when you got into it the money would fly around and you had 30 seconds to get as much money as you could....our number wasn't called....however....I did win a 25.00 VISA gift card :) They also had pizza and pop. That was our lunch.
No sales today. Trying to pick up the family room and my craft tables. It's a MESS!!! My son is coming over tomorrow and said he wanted to grill a dinner for me for my birthday! It's been a week long birthday!!
Yesterday I treated myself to a professional hair color and also had her cut it. Of course, hubby said right away..."It's too SHORT"!!! It grows!!! and it looked shorter because of the way she styled it. Isn't that a story in itself...when you let the stylist do her own thing!!!
Hey, 2 posts in one night....I'm a little chatty tonight :)
Quick question....does my banner look okay to you...when I see it it's pink and not clear and if you are seeing the same thing...I'll make a new one!
Deb :)

Great finds. Did your friend use a pattern to make the cart cover? I have a cart like this and would like to make a cover for mine.

Happy belated birthday Deb. That little cart is adorable and will be such a handy thing to have while you are out shopping at those garage and estate sales. Love your banner photo. Looks perfect on my end and I love how you used the scrabble game tiles to spell out the name of your blog. Very cute!!

Oh Deb, what a nice gift... a frilly shopping cart. I love it and you will probably sell them easily! Love all of your finds. Looks like a fun, fun day! Hugs!

Your header looks fine. I'm not seeing any problems with it on my computer.

You always get the best finds. I'd love to go to estate sales but they don't happen much around here. I think you would just find the best treasures at them and you prove that to be true! Maybe when I move to a larger city I'll be able to run across more estate sales.

Yes, don't worry about your hair being too short. If it's like mine, it grows out fast.

Enjoy the cookout! So nice of your son to want to cook you dinner. You'll have to take pics!

Hey Deb, (Happy Birthday) love the cart, i just bought one -just so i could try to line it like that. SO Cute..The shop is going well, im down a long hall in the back ,so the trick is getting customrs to walk to the back, so i made a bigger sign for out front and added music to the front of building and it seems to be helping the store has a good flow, more than i thought, it is mostly all done, i have a few more spots i could fill, and i brought all my craft stuff there so i could work on stuff while im there, and so the time actually flies by, and i love the chit chat with customers-Just working out the whole kid thing- 2 differ- pick up times and tumble twice a week, make things challenging, but summer is almost here... I will post some more pics later today..
Thanks for asking..
Love your cool finds.. Karryann

Hello Deb, thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment. My ISP has been awful lately so I have not been able to visit many blogs and I sure do miss that. The one downfall of living in a rural area.
Anyway Happy Belated Birthday! I love your new header, how creative! Your new cart is adorable, I've always loved them and your's has been done in a beautiful fabric. I will try that lemon cake recipe from Southern Lady, I love lemon too! Your Estate sale finds are great especially the Silhouette, I'm really stuck on them.
I was planning a blue ribbon lady, she is on my list. LOL. THat bingo set brings back memories for me!
Blessings, Shirl

That cart is so cute. I have one (without any fabric) that I use to take my laundry to the laundry room and love it so much.

A box with money flying around? That sounds like fun! Too bad your number wasn't ca:o)lled, but the 25.00 Visa is pretty cool!

Must have been nice to pamper yourself with a professional hair coloring. I would like to do that, too, and get highlights. But I don't want to pay for the upkeep!

I love you banner. Love it lots.

What a sweet friend to make that great liner for the cart. Lots of residents in our San Francisco flat use carts for taking their laundry down to the laundry room.

Lot of fun stuff. I bet your hair looks great!

Glad you are still have a fun Birthday week!

Hey Deb!
Oh your new banner is darling....I love it. Looks perfect to me :)
When my mama came over today...I showed her your blog and she thought it was so pretty. She doesn't have a computer, but she is looking into getting one, and I hope she does, because I think she would enjoy blogging as much as we do.

All of your treasures are so that little cart Jeanne made...sounds like a great B'day week, Happy B'day Day from me.
Big Hugs,
P.S. I had to chuckle at the thought of you girls getting McD's to go.... because you were on a garage sale mission...too fun!
