Ginger Bread House, Swap and a Heart

Tonight was the tradition of the Ginger bread House! I buy the kit and then the fun begins :)
Here is the final result! I have learned to hot glue the house together so that is Stays together!

Debbie from http://myvintagedaydreams.blogspot.com/ and I did a little Christmas swap and these are the treasures that she sent me! Some vintage goods and some new goodies.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! It was so much fun and I truly love my treasures!

She did send some chocolate...and I ate it right away... I'm such a sugar bug!!! It was very good!

We had a snow blizzard on Saturday! We have 20 inches of New Snow!!! We have to shovel a path for the dogs. This is Sweet Pea on top of the snow bank in the back yard. She LOVES the Snow and would stay outside if it wasn't so bitter cold. Yup, first Snow and now the Bitter Cold!

Do you know, Elizabeth form http://bluebirdpapercrafts.blogspot.com/? We make these Awesome felt hearts and other Awesome felt creations. I have lusted after her hearts and other goodies. Elizabeth was very kind and generous and made one just for me! What a sweetheart she is! I Totally Love It! Her embroidery work is just amazing!!! THANK YOU, E!!!
I'm almost finished with my Christmas shopping. My cards are done and now need to be addressed and mail out. Gifts to be wrapped. It's almost Christmas!!! How are you doing?
Merry Christmas!!!
Warmly,
deb :)

How cute! I guess you don't eat the gingerbread house if you use hot glue! I can't believe Sweet Pea likes the snow. We are preparing for the coldest weather we have had since the 80's tonight. It is suppose to get down to 27 degrees! They have told us not to let our pets out and have interrupted TV programming all night. The bad part is all of the orange groves will freeze tonight, so everyone will be paying more for orange juice. Citrus growers could lose millions of dollars in crops tonight. We are under a state of emergency in Orlando....This is not shaping up to be a good winter for any of us.

Hi Miss Deb -
WOW...20" of snow!!! And I was being such a baby about the 12" we received. We have lived here for 2 years and I still only like the first fallen snow...anything else is too much for me :) 47 years of Cali sunshine spoiled me ;) Love the gingerbread house...I never would have thought to use hot glue, my boys always want to eat the gingerbread houses, so it only had to stay together long enough for a photo! LOL
Hugs,
Toni

we're doing great ...
three years ago we decided to not do gifts anymore.
We give to our kids all year long, as needed ...
so when Christmas comes we have a beautiful meal together with some great wine ... worship, and call it a day.
Trying to keep the focus that everyday is Christmas ...

yes yes yes, its cold here ...

love love love your felt heart
Merry Christmas dear loyal friend

Hi Deb! I'm finally getting a chance to catch up with you, and WOW did you ever hit the vintage radio motherlode! I know you'll probably put them in your room at HQ, but they also do really well on Ebay.
You're a stronger woman than me, to be able to give up going to sales! And I can't believe how fast your granddaughter is growing. Very smart idea to glue that house together!
Stay warm!

Hi Deb, Please forgive my ridiculous jumping the gun to Valentine's Day! I'm a worrier as this will be my last swap. More than likely I will just swap with the wonderful women like yourself who have participated in so many swaps. When you are in the crafting mood, just make one! Thank you again. Elizabeth

Hi garage sale gal... Have just been sent your link from one of my friends. Wendy knows just how much I love garage sales and couldn't resist. She thinks I will be in danger of blogging on and on about my finds and never get anything else done! Guess she doesn't know the thrill of the chase does she.. Have a lovely Christmas. We are sweltering in very humid conditions over here is sunny Queensland, Australia.
