Stuff around the house

This old autograph book is from the 1800's and look at this...
could this belong to a relative of Laura Ingalls Wilder or Laura from the blog Decor to Adore??!!
Blog http://decortoadore.blogspot.com
I forgot to mention that this pretty altered shoe is from Lyneen from a Valentine swap from last year. LOVE it... you can visit her at http://dreamingofcastles.blogspot.com She was very generous.

Little girl and her pearls :) Such a sweet face.

Silhouette of my son when he was 2 years old. He is now 31 years old.
STILL being good about not "shopping"... we are saving for our vacation to Florida within the next couple of months.
Been working on my Valentines for the swap and am almost finished with them. I just want to do that all day and not to anything else.... ha ha.. that doesn't happen.
Hubby helped hang the chandelier at HQ on Saturday and later this week I'll be there, loading up the room.
Not much going on right now...kind of nice!
Warmly,
deb

I hope we can get together when you come to Florida. I wondered how you sprayed stuff up north, guess you can't in the cold, or even in the garage. What if you have THE laura Ingalls! Stay warm up there I think I heard you had another storm coming.

Love the silhouette. I have a son about the same age. His would have wild crazy curls!
The old albumn brought back memories of things from the family farm. why don't we keep things like that on the coffee table any more?

That is such a cool autograph book...think of all the years it has survived.
I just don't think it's possible for you to have a 31 yr. old...nope, just not possible.
I'm trying not to shop too and just using what I have on hand. Don't know how long I'll make it!

Laura's family was only in Iowa for one year. A year so bad that Laura never wrote about it in her books. Most of the Ingalls family resided in Minn. and Wis. (My grandmother still lives in MN.) Still geneology is a funny thing and there is a good chance that this was a kissing cousin based on the (what I consider) correct spelling of the name versus Ingles, etc. All the same, what a treasure.

I loved Laura Ingalls books. That would be something! Love your son's portrait captured in time... like the autographs in your book.

Ahh.. Florida.. I wouldn't mind going there msyelf to get away from this snow and cold. I am so ready for winter to be over. Your valentine decor is so cute. I love that red shoe.

I haven't been making any valentine tags myself. I go through spurts where I feel like creating and then days will go by when I do nothing. I did make my little altered spools though which was a fun little project to work on.

I have quite a list of crafty things I want to try and make over the coming months when I'm feeling creative so stay tuned to my blog to see what I come up with next.

Stay warm and drive safely if you're out and about in the snow that just doesn't seem to want to end.
