Altered Book and Weekend Finds

Carol from the Polka Dot Closet had a recent post about the altered books she made and is selling at the antique store where she has a booth.

So...I had to give it a try and it's fun and easy! Take an old book, rip off the spine and start the altering!! I made these 2 with stuff that I have. Carol has many awesome ideas and a great blog!Thank You, Carol for sharing your idea.

The chandelier looks like one we have in our old house ;-) The house was built in 1956, if that gives you any idea of how old it might be. I believe it is original, because we bought the house from the widow of the man who built it.

Have a great weekend!

Love your altered book Deb! You've so good at paper crafts that I bet it was really easy for you to make. Great vintage card score, but that chandelier is the best find. I'm on the lookout for two this summer: one for our dining room and one for our daughter's room. Lately she's been all about thrifting and curb shopping, and then repurposing it all. I'm so proud!
