Cozy Living Room, Tweaking for Halloween & Leaves

Tweaked the mantle with just a little vintage halloween decor. Doing much less decorating this year...just enough fun for Grand daughter to have some sweet memories.

More leaves from the maple tree in the front, which now all the leaves are gone.

Pumpkin fun...

I have mentioned before that my living room is a little challenging to decorate...as it has many openings and little Full wall space.

VIEW from the fireplace...this is my "COZY" fall and winter arrangement.

Sitting on the sofa looking at the fireplace....when it's time for the Christmas tree to go up it may go behind the chair on the right...or maybe the chair on the left..YACK!!! Anyway..this is how it looks today. Of course, I forgot the "before" photos. The door you see goes to the sunroom and it's right off the dining area, which makes it a "challenge" to decorate. However, very Thankful that I have a HOME SWEET HOME!

This is outside of the front door. Love this old child's wheel barrow! It may need a little repair after this season.

Thanks for all the kind words about my tiara! It's silly fun!!!

Still haven't cleaned out the garage enough to park my Jeep..so that is on the "to do" list today!

Always appreciate your comments!

Warmly,

deb :)

spell check isn't working...sorry...

Love the new arrangement, Just wondering why we aren't closer to the fireplace? I have a club chair like yours (floral). Enjoyed all of the previous posts also.

I too would put the chairs closer to the fireplace. It looks so much cosier that way. But that is just my thoughts.

Love you home and the way you have it decorated. It looks so cozy and inviting!! Love your fireplace!! I love my fireplace and we use it in the winter. The furbabies get as close as possible to the fire screen cover. It is soo funny to watch them all 4 try to get the best and warmest spot!!

Hi Deb,

Your living room looks so cozy. Wish I had a fireplace. My house is 85 yrs old, it should have had one. :( the mantle looks great! I still have to finish my decor for Halloween. lol

That wheelbarrow is very, very cute.

Well, you are ahead of me, because I still haven't decorated for fall. Not sure when I will, as I have this stupid idea that refusing to decorate means that fall won't come and that summer will stay!

The mirror above your mantle is gorgeous! I don't have a fireplace, but I always think they look so cozy and inviting.

Blessings,
Patti

I love your mantle, your living room and the little wheelbarrow! Glad to hear that I'm not the only one right now that can't park a car in the garage either. I've been working on something for two months now, and thank goodness my husband is a patient man!

hi Deb, I love your livingroom and your halloween decorations are just right! everything looks just lovely! My living room has openings on every wall too. front wall has front door and two windows, east wall fireplace and its an L shape, the bathroom door is on an east wall too. north wall has doorway to kitchen and east wall is lots of doors, one to my craftroom, one to go up stairs and french doors that go into another room! Very difficult to rearrange furniture!
But we do the best we can right? and you did a great job!
have a great week!
