Another Peek and Opinion Needed

I need your opinion about the curtains...soft white sheer on the right or shabby, cottage one on the left. I guess I could trade off with the seasons! Which one do you prefer??? Both sets of curtains I've had tucked away! The bluebird banner was made by Sharon and the pink fabric one Connie made and I think it was a swap gift..Both are perfect in my room. It's nice to have them up! I have one more banner that will go up.

This small "kitchen" hutch was downstairs and is now happy to be in it's new "home"Purchased years ago at an estate sale. Can't remember how much I paid for it...

See this corner hutch...this is the story behind it! Had a phone call from a girlfriend and she said her cousin was cleaning out the neighbor's home and it all was going into the DUMPSTER...and would I like to "save" anything...YES...so this piece was FREE! The funny thing is that hubby and I went to this house when there was an estate sale and this piece was marked $195.00 (right, crazy price!)

Cost so far $0.00 right on budget!!!

I must say that it's a BIGGER project than I was expecting. It's like I opened a can of "worms". Moving one thing leads to more projects. Lots of stuff that will need a new home...and maybe not here with me. I've taken 5 boxes to the thrift store. There will be MORE!

CONFESSION: I HAVE TO MUCH STUFF!
I just saw that I have 500 followers! WOW!!! Thank you and I'll be having a Giveaway Soon! I KNOW that I have a "treasure" or two around here! LOL!!!

Back to "work"!!!

I'll try to visit between "breaks". The computer is down in the family room and my new craft room is on the main level of our rambler.

P.S. Hubby has been very good! He is helping move some of the heavy stuff/furniture pieces. He is the BEST!

Warmly,

deb :)

If most of the furniture is going to be white I love the floral curtains! I wish I was there to help you, it would be so fun. You are taking things to the thrift store, ouch...You will probably end up buying it back LOL!

I like both curtains, maybe see how the room goes and one will talk to you more than the other. The white would be great for changing out your buntings for the seasons. I like to change it all up every once in awhile so I think you can't go wrong to give them both a chance!
Hugs, Lisa

Deb, I love the floral curtains!! And the hutch! And the price! I know how you feel about having your "own" room for creating. I shared a room with my husband, and a few months ago we separated the rooms. Mine is still a work in progress, which makes it so fun!! My daughter who lives at home helped me get his room in order first. He's a good sport too. It sure helps doesn't it.
I love the banners!! I can't wait to see the finished product.

Best to you!!

Happy New Year! What a great score on the hutch. I vote for the cottage curtains and then change to the sheer for the warmer months. That way you get the best of both. Love the banners :)

I vote for the floral cottage curtains! I love blue best anyway. You remind me of ourselves when we were putting together our craft room. You have to mess up the whole house to do it! I just know you are going to enjoy your space so much and you have some really great pieces! Have a great day! Twyla

I think I'd pick the floral curtains. I love how the banner pops against it.

I hear you about having too much stuff. As soon as the Christmas stuff was packed away I started on purging the house. I have a couple more rooms to go and then I'm done. It feels fantastic!

$00.00 IS the best price!

I love that little red and white cupboard!

Well, I'm partial to white curtains and then hanging something colorful (like your banners) on top of them. I liked Lisa's advice. Sometimes I have to walk out of a room and then back in to see how it feels.

Thanks again for your booth advice!

Have a great day and happy nesting! ♥

Deb- good to hear from you! You've been busy girl! I like both curtains. The white gives you alot more light and just looks fresh. The floral set a completel different feel... very sweet. Could you use the white in the middle with the floral tied back? Just a thought.
Talk to you soon. Blessings, L

I like the sheer best. I made a clothesline banner in my laundry room. It hangs across one of my windows. I have little bluejeans, dresses and t-shirts hanging on it, attached with tiny clothespins. I love your little white kitchen hutch, I would love to have one like that. My aunt had one that she purchased when she got married in the late 40s. I just loved it.

I love the floral curtains! Wow! I can't believe someone was actually going to throw that corner cabinet away! Home renovation always seems to snowball. Just paint the walls and then everything has to be changed!

Hey you!!!!!
I am just soooo happy for you that you get your own space to create. So...do you have a plan? Stop by anytime cause you know I will be so happy you help you create A beautiful space to call your own.

Now i think id use both of those curtains together..make your own rules..there both light and airy. Also if your rooms small, anchor a table to the wall out...i just did that and it opened up so much more space. Ill be taking pix so you can see. I also organized my crafts by what i use most and keep them closer than that which are more seasonal. Use pretty and unique things for storage Also color themes...of painted furniture or styles all help to create a beautiful space...use up and well as down spaces as well...

Be back for more updates..you go girl!!!!

Be blessed!
Lorena

What a LOVELY corner piece!!! Years ago we went to a yard sale at a home where they had just finished remodeling the place, and had torn the old built ins out of the dining room. We picked up 3 corner cupboards for not too much. One of the best deals we ever found. I have the biggest one in my living room... I think it's shown up in some of the photos in my Christmas posts.
Congrats on 500!!
