~ CRAFT ROOM ~ Reveal

View from the doorway. What you don't see are 2 closets that are on the right side of the room which hubby has his clothes in. We have very small closets in the house. This room is about 9X10 ish size.

My "work" table.

The corner cabinet is perfect. It still isn't filled as there are still boxes of stuff to go through and sort/throw/sell or donate.

Don't know why this one is blurred...

It is still a work in progress. I am looking for a different work table for one. The one I have is too large. I'm happy to have my "own" space. It's been a L-O-N-G time in coming and I think hubby is a little "okay" that I've taken over the TV to make it a craft room. Down the road I'll "take over" the 2 closets that are in the room. The more I work in the room the easier it will be to make it work it "work for me". I love the huge window and decided on the white sheers for the window treatment. While I love the cottage rose curtains, it was just too dark for me.

I'm open for any suggestions, ideas and comments!

We have about 4 inches of snow this morning. Looking pretty outside.

Yesterday was future SIL's birthday. Granddaughter and I made him a cake. After cake she had a "magic" show for us. It was so sweet. She also told a few "jokes".
Hmmm..I think I'll go to my craft room and start putting together some ideas for Easter!

Warmly,

deb

Deb, It's wonderful!!! It's so organized!! ANd so nice to have your own space. While working on my Valentine's for swaps, I was home a couple of days from work with a cold, but still wanted to work on my crafts. Our dogs are not allowed upstairs where my crafting room is, so I put up a folding table in the master bedrooms so I could craft and spend time with the dogs. My husband came home from work and looked at his small office, and said I think you have more square footage!! Upstairs and downstairs??? And then of course he laughed!! Understanding husbands are the best!!
I may take before and after pics of my crafting room and send the before only to you!! It's a little embarassing right now!!
Sending hugs to you,
chris

What is it that they say "A Messy room is......"
I think in order for you to create your room looks great. I can be too too organized and still can't find anything when I want to create.

Wonderful space! Looks like you have it so well-organized too. What fun you'll have in there, creating and plotting the "great closet takeover"!
Is that your "first dollar" sticking up above all those beautiful valentines?

How wonderful to have all that organized space just for your crafting and sewing! LOVE it!! I know it's a lot of work to sort things out and get it put away where you want it.. I've been working on that myself.

Lovely and cozy room. Bet it makes you smile to look around at your treasures. :-) I also like the doggie pics in your margins. Thanks for spreading the word that pitbills are nice. I have two pit mixes and just love them. Sweetest pets I've ever had.

Fabulous! it looks great, have fun! I am lucky enough to have our basement, but I don't like being 'away from the world'. Your space is perfect with that big window. I love the shelf over it.too.

looks great Deb! It really is so nice to have a room just for creating in. when my kids were younger and still home, I would get something started on the kitchen table adn hated to clean everything up so that we could eat dinner. when they got older and went to college or moved out.. I would use the kitchen table and just leave the mess out all the time.. but that would drive my nuts! It is so nice to be able to make a mess now and not have to clean it up until I'm ready! and I do let my craft room get pretty messy! figgy and frannie dont care.. and neither do I! LOL!
no one else really comes in here.
so have fun!! and show us what you create!

Oh Debbie, you must be loving it!! It looks like a craft store, I bet you found lots of neat treasures! On the table under the rubber stamps you could hang some fabric, I did that with all of my craft room counters, to hide stuff, but then you cannot see stuff as easily? OK 4" of snow is NOT pretty!!

The room looks huge! :) I'm glad you have your own space; it's important in the creative process to have a place you can sit and "zone".

Looks like a great place to get creative, Deb! So pretty and functional too. I'm so envious of you gals who have a space of your own, that you can just close the door on. Whenever I'm working on a project, it's all over the dining room table!

I remember when I participated in the Where Bloggers Create event 2 years ago and you stopped by and talked about how "some day" you were going to have a room dedicated to crafting. It's here and it's fabulaous Deb! I love all of your displays...the corner cupboard is gorgeous!!!!!
Have fun in this Happy Place. I love my room...even though it looks like a train wreck right now.
