Hat Box Swap, Kidney stone & Finds

I signed up for the Hat Box Swap, that Michele had. The one above is what I made for my partner, Kathy.

This is the hat box Kathy made for me and all the goodies inside. This was a FUN swap and had me thinking outside of the "box"..THANK YOU, Kathy for being my partner and for all the goodies.

THANK YOU for all your Prayers!! This wicked little kidney stone was passed last night before bed! Feeling like my Old Self!! God is so good!!! I am going to the Dr tomorrow and will find out what kind of stone it is and see how to prevent this from happening again! Thank you for being such good friends! WHO knew about the kindness in computer land! XO

SO...hubby and I went to the flea market this morning and these are the treasures I found. The peacock feathers are so pretty. The lady has them for pets and collects the feathers when the birds molt...pretty cool! I bought 5 and have them in the living room.

Also stopped at a 2nd day estate sale and picked up these for the shops.

Thank You to all the nice gals that visited my "studio/craft room". I appreciate all the kind comments and visits.

Guess it's going to be ANOTHER hot & humid week. I'll try not to melt!!! You keep Cool Too!

Deb :)

My deepest sympathies for your kidney stone. My husband has passed several stones and it's just awful to watch him in such horrible pain. I hope you are feeling better. Your treasures and hatbox swap are just wonderful.

Oh those are so painful.....glad it is gone.
A friends' son's wedding used peacock feathers as a theme for their wedding. It was beautiful. Very elegant.
Love the swaps.

Hi Deb, Glad to read you passed that stone and feeling better. It is incredible that the size of something so small can cause so much trouble.
Love your hatbox treasures for the swap.

I absolutely loathe kidney stones. I had one in my second trimester which put me in the hospital and it was the size of a grain of sand....yours is large! Wow, I'm so glad your ordeal is over. The hat box swap is lovely and so are those kitchen items you found! I love the old Pyrex bowl in the back!

So glad you are feeling better. That little stone must have hurt big time. Love your hatbox swap! You found lots of goodies also. Those feathers are so pretty. I spy a Pink Gooseberry Pyrex casserole in your stash....wonderful find! Big Hugs, Linda

Deb, so glad that stone passed!! Just FYI for you and anyone else, the main cause of stones is not drinking enough water and getting dehydrated. They often happen in the summer when it is hot and water is important. (Iced tea is NOT the same as water) so everyone...drink your water.
Love your swap and your finds!!

OOps, I hit enter before I got to type how much I enjoyed the tour of your studio. There are so many supplies! I could craft for hours. No wonder you sent me extra pipe stems last year. You are so good to me, and I truly appreciate it. Please, please, there is no deadline on the blog banner. Don't even worry about it. Be well! Elizabeth

I am sure happy to know that you passed that darned old kidney stone. I will bet that was painful. I love seeing your hatbox for kathy, you did a beautiful job. Thanks for posting!

Deb, I do not envy you on the kidney stones one bit. The doctors say that it is as painful as childbirth. The doctors also say that the juice of lemons helps because it has citric acid or something like that. Also, they will give you a list of foods like nuts that should be eaten sparingly to avoid stones. You know they are going to hit you with the DRINK WATER statement. Ugh. So, drink up. Thanks for sharing all of your goodies.
