Vintage Christmas Wreath ~ I made One

This is Sweet Pea, cuddling on my lap when I'm on the computer! Aww!

SO, today was the Day I decided to make one of those Awesome, Vintage Christmas Wreaths that I have seen in stores, (expensive) and in blogland. I was given some helpful hints from, Sandy and away I went!

It didn't take too long to make it and I'm pretty Happy with the results! I ended up adding more garland. I had to cut it up into little pieces and "tuck" it into the "bald" spots. I think I may make 1 more for my Mom for Christmas. If you think you might want to make one, GO FOR IT! It wasn't that "hard"!!

I also made homemade Potato Soup, YUM! It was a great day. I didn't leave the house or put any make up on!

Tomorrow I'm "working" at the Vintage Cottage. The owner asked me if I would like to "work" for her one day a week for MONEY! YES!!! so, I get to help her change/decorate the shop for the next sale! I'm pretty happy about that!! Feeling very Blessed!
Take Care. Warmly,

This project is on my to-do list. Your wreath is just fabulous. I love seeing all your special vintage finds tucked around the garland.

OMG! I LOVE it! You did it and it's just the best one I have ever seen! I bought the foam wreath last year and I've been collecting ornaments...so how did you stick the balls to the wrath, or did I miss it. I was so excited to see it that I just had to comment immediately. I love it!

Oh, I clicked on the pic and enlarged it and it's even better...also saw your link to Sandy so I will check it out....I wish I had more time to do things like this!!!

Deb it turned out really great! I really want to make one of these, but have as much trouble gluing glass as I do using my favorite paper (it's a sickness)!! I just saw an ornament trimmed mirror on pinterest to die for, I might have to force myself to recover from this sickness :) E

Deb-That looks really nice and tucking the garland in to hide the open spots was a great idea. Your Mom will LOVE one of those- xo Diana

Your wreath is just beautiful! I have made a few, but used a pine wreath for the base...I have loaded mine with lots of kitschy old ornaments that would orndinarily just live in a box unloved. I call it the tackiest wreath in the west...but I love it! Yours is elegant like the ones made by the GeorgiaPeachez (sp?) lady.

Your wreath turned out great Deb! I've been getting my things together for my own wreath...gathering just the right things. We will see how it goes though! Did you see the cover of Romantic Homes? I had to buy it right away when I saw that wreath! It's been inspiring me ever since.
I love how you did yours! Wish me luck ;)

The wreath turned out great, Deb! I guess I've been scared to make one. It seems like once you hot glue the ball- that's it- there's no moving it and that's just soooo scary! Ha-ha!

I'm babysitting my grands and the girls just came down the stairs at 5:45 am! Gonna be a long day! ♥

Will you make me one??? :)( just kidding) I hope mine turns out that nice, I have a bunch of plastic ornaments I am going to try to do this with...we will see if they don't melt with the glue gun! I went over to Meri and we took photos while she made one for our class....it was fun! She made it all blue...not my favorite color, but it turned out so neat! Really nice job Deb!!!! Deb, I love the wreath. I hope to make one this year. Did you use the low temp glue/gun or the regular hi temp glue/gun?
