Christmas Ideas from the Bachman Idea House

LOVE the master bedroom! Nice colors and just so pretty.

Lovely living room with a more "up north" theme.

Dining room also has a "up north" theme with lots of white. Very unique!

This is the porch, where you enter the home. My photos aren't in order! LOL! Remember, this is Not my home. It's a real home decorated for the season that people can tour! It's located in Minneapolis, MN. It is a home that the Bachman family owns.

Sorry a few of the photos I wanted to add to the post were flipped, so you are going to see just a few. I'm pretty sure that you will still gather a "few" ideas!

I had a nice, quiet Thanksgiving. Daughter and future SIL came over for soup around 5 last night. We looked at the ads and they went out last night to make a couple of purchases!

I didn't go to any stores today. I did go to 2 estate sales :)  Tomorrow is card making day with 2 friends. It's my plan to make all my Christmas cards! I plan on doing my Christmas shopping the first week in December!  I do have a couple of gifts and a few stocking stuffers. Is anyone DONE with their shopping???

I hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving. I put up my Christmas tree and decor and will share that in the next post. I didn't put up a lot this year!

It's COLD and there is a light dusting of snow. It was 60 yesterday and by evening around 30...yup, only in Minnesota!
Warmly,
deb

It sounds like you had a nice day, Deb! We went to my daughter's for Thanksgiving then went to see a new animated movie at the theatre. It's always great to go on Thanksgiving after dinner - it's practically empty! No shopping for me on Black Friday. I started my decorating today. I've already gotten several gifts over the past couple of months and will hope to finish up purchases in the next two weeks.

The weather in Minnesota and Michigan is about the same!! I haven't even started shopping yet. I did go to one store last night, and Joann Fabrics today, but it was after noon before I went there so it wasn't quite so crazy. Haven't started decorating-our trip really put us behind! :)

Great pictures! I love that log coffee table. You are so lucky to have found two estate sales!!! I am not finished with my shopping, but I do have a pretty good head start. Many things purchased and already wrapped! I did this way before Black Friday. I don't like the crowds!

Haaa! I'm the one who waits until about 2 weeks before x-mas to start really shopping hard! I need the hustle and bustle I think!
We did the same thing as you...wild rice soup and good bread for Thanksgiving. It was great! I hope yours was fantastic too Deb! :)

Deb I always love your Bachman home pictures. I still have the ones you posted last year "pinned". Thanks for visiting me. I knew you loved JRT and thought of you too when I made that card. Their little faces melt your heart. Have a great Saturday.

What a lovely home to tour. Have fun crafting Christmas cards. We've started to dig out decorations. I've barely started shopping. Your snow and cold temps arrived yesterday in MI. Hugs.

Such a pretty home to tour.
Sounds like Thanksgiving was nice at your house. Ours was quiet and nice. I have enjoyed this week-end. I left the house tonight for the first time since Wednesday evening. Couldn't find my purse.....I had left it at my son's on Wed. Does that tell you that there was no shopping for me this week-end. I did alot of my shopping with the money I found. I have 15 immediate family members so that was a true blessing. Still have a few things to get for the adults. I have a tree up and will gradually decorate. Less stree that way.
Enjoy your week-end.

Hi, Deb! So sorry it's been a while since I stopped by. I've had so much on my plate with this house, but I'm taking a bit of a break for the holidays. The main floor is just about done and I've begun decorating for Christmas! I don't do Black Friday and if I can, I do all my shopping online. I hate crowds, especially at the holidays! Love the house pics!

Deb,
It sounds like you are getting ready in prime time! I will be going through ALL of my Christmas stuff and weeding out anything that isn't vintage or has a memory attached! Just getting too hard to put it all out. :) I wish it would snow here during the holidays, just a little bit! We have had snow here in Phoenix. I know of at least three times in the last 40 years...:) I have very little shopping done, my youngest is living with us temporarily and he doesn't need a thing! The oldest is easy, he collects a LOT of things! lol Have a great week! Hugs, Sandy

Wowzers sweet D...sounds like you had an incredible day. Out of order or NOT the pics are amazing!

I just bought TWO presents on our little get away...that's it! I'm way behind this year! BAH!

Oklahoma is gorgeous...we spent the day sucking up and mulching leaves. Everyone is our neighborhood waits until they all FALL and blow onto our yard...we are jut over a crest and I'm not kidding when I say we have half our neighborhood's leaves. :( Fun though...burned lots of calories! ;)

Love to you friend~ Rebecca

I'm crazy about that Up North coffee table! Even though I love the cottage look, I'm still drawn to the primitive/country look too. I wish we had something like the Bachman House around here, to give me decorating inspiration, but really I don't even have to leave my house to get inspired, just go blog hopping!
Have a great week!
