What's "Hopping" On My Mantle

Vintage and jointed sweet bunny girl :)

Vintage bunny.

Vintage bunnies.

A bunny my Mom made years ago at her ceramic's class. I love this one!

Well loved pink bunny makes me smile.

A one of a kind from a special blogging buddy.

...just some of my favorite bunnies! I put up some Easter decor this weekend. Not doing as much as I have in years past. I also did the bow window and will show you that soon. Easter will be here before we know it. I'm hoping to start making Easter cards on Friday with a BFF.

Thanks for all your comments about my craft room.

Guess we may have some "winter weather" between tonight and the morning. It might be a stay at home day tomorrow...however, "us" Minnesotans are tough! LOL! Not much keeps us inside.
Warmly,

deb :)

Easter Bunnies at the Grocery Store

Stopped in the local Cub Foods store and saw this and it sure made me SMILE!!!

Someone is very creative! I think it's as sweet as can be! While I don't drink Pepsi...I'm loving their display! The bunnies are side by side! Between my camera and the aisle, I couldn't get a full photo of them. Guess I need to get out my Easter Decor this weekend.

Aww...my "day dreamers" love looking outside and laying in the sun. I Love my "Puppies"!

Have a Great Weekend!

Warmly,

deb :)

~ CRAFT ROOM ~ Reveal

View from the doorway. What you don't see are 2 closets that are on the right side of the room which hubby has his clothes in. We have very small closets in the house. This room is about 9X10 ish size.

My "work" table.

The corner cabinet is perfect. It still isn't filled as there are still boxes of stuff to go through and sort/throw/sell or donate.

Don't know why this one is blurred...

It is still a work in progress. I am looking for a different work table for one. The one I have is too large. I'm happy to have my "own" space. It's been a L-O-N-G time in coming and I think hubby is a little "okay" that I've taken over the TV to make it a craft room. Down the road I'll "take over" the 2 closets that are in the room. The more I work in the room the easier it will be to make it work it "work for me". I love the huge window and decided on the white sheers for the window treatment. While I love the cottage rose curtains, it was just too dark for me.

I'm open for any suggestions, ideas and comments!

We have about 4 inches of snow this morning. Looking pretty outside.

Yesterday was future SIL's birthday. Granddaughter and I made him a cake. After cake she had a "magic" show for us. It was so sweet. She also told a few "jokes".
Hmmm..I think I'll go to my craft room and start putting together some ideas for Easter!

Warmly,

deb

Inside the "Vintage Cottage" in Carver

Welcome to the VINTAGE COTTAGE located in the tiny town of Carver, MN.

I work there on Friday's. This is what you see when you walk in the front door of the shop! Julie, the owner, is Amazing! She and her hubby put this shop together each month. Each month is has a different look and new finds!

They painted the bed frame! My photos aren't the best. It's just lovely!

There is something for everyone !!!

The shop is in a 100 year old building. LOVE the brick wall!

Julie makes awesome "vignettes"!!!

L-O-V-E the arched window screen!!! (Not for sale)

I must say, "working" there is pure fun and pleasure! Julie is the sweetest person! I LOVE my 1 day a month job!! She really pays me to work there! I KNOW!!! Don't tell her I would work for "free"!!!

More information on my sidebar. Next sale is Mar 15-17. Come visit me on Friday if you are in the area. There are 6 shops to find treasures at. Lots of Variety!!!

I'm thinking Easter!!! I almost went into the Easter totes and put up my decor. I think I'll wait until next weekend. Also thinking about Easter cards to make. Maybe I have a touch of Spring fever!

Went shopping for JEANS! YUCK!!! I have the hardest time finding jeans that fit! I don't really like to purchase any clothes for myself. I'm sure it's because I'm overweight...anyway..I went to Old Navy and the nicest gals helped me pick out some jeans and they fit pretty good. The price was right too, $19.00 a pair! I'm not an Old Navy shopper, probably my 4th time in that store. Just a little FYI if you need jeans!

Few finds & Plate changes

Went to a nice "digger" sale yesterday and found some "smalls" for the booths.

The wooden spools are from other sales. I just thought they looked cool in the bowl. Pink rolling pin for you "pink girls"!

More little sweeties.

These 3 are from a friend of a friend who is down-sizing. They have many collectibles and gave us a call to see if we would purchase some stuff from them. These are staying with me for the time being.

My framed plates. I finally have it the way I want it.

I sure had fun at the Dress Form Party that Carol had. Thanks for a great time. The "gals" are recovering...they enjoyed the "champagne" a little too much! LOL!

Have a Blessed Sunday. Daughter, Granddaughter and future SIL are going to church with me tomorrow. We are looking for a church that we all would like to join. HAPPY!

Dress Form Party!!!

Our "hostess" for the Dress Form Party is, Carol! She has everything all ready for the "Gala".

The dress form above is from an estate sale that I did almost 2 years ago. Her name is "GWEN". She is vintage with her original skirt. For today's part pearls were a must! Her "top" is a heart shaped doilie. Gwen is a mini dress form. She is 16" from top to bottom.

This mini dress form, "BELLA BLUE" was given to me through a swap with Joyce. "Bella Rose is 12 1/2" from top to bottom. She decided to wear a flower brooch with a scrap of lace under it. She is a bit of a "dreamer".

Thank you for visiting my 2 sweet little dress forms. Thank you, Carol for having this fun party. I'm not computer savvy, so please click on Carol and it will take you to the "Party".

Thank you!

Deb :)

Celebrating a BFF's 60th Bday and Antiquing

This is my BFF, "ME" with her Birthday Crown. On Saturday we made a day trip to Iowa to celebrate my BFF, above, 60th Birthday! It was a surprise lunch set up by her hubby. Let me tell you, she was VERY surprised when I came in, her back was to us, and said "My I Take Your Order?" !! Her jaw dropped and she had tears in her eyes! A TOTAL surprise!!! After lunch we went to a couple of antique shops.

This one, called "Majestic Lion" had lovely furniture. These pieces were amazing!!!

Here we are outside "Majestic Lion". These shops are located in Des Moines. (oops...by chin is getting bigger!)

This fun booth was inside the other shop called "The Brass Armadillo". These shops are very close to each other. I would Totally recommend them when you go to Des Moines, IA. They are right off of 35W. Clean shops with lots of variety!

These goodies are from The Armadillo.

These from the Majestic Lion. We had a great time in the few hours that we were there. I sure hope "ME" had a nice 60th Birthday!!! HAPPY 60th ME!!! xo, deb

It was almost a 4 hour trip one way yesterday. Didn't feel up to going to a Super Bowl party tonight. Stayed home with the puppies.

Other news from this weekend....daughter and future son in law bought their first house! Just 7 blocks from us!!! I'm Very Happy!!! They close the end of March. It was very important for me that they be close because of Grand daughter! Answered prayer. Now, I would like them to move up their wedding date!!!

Warmly,

deb
