First Garage Sale of the Season & More

Yesterday hubby and I went to the first garage sale of the season and we SHOULD have went there right away! Scored the goodies above and below. Cool! Very fun cereal spoons!
We also went to an estate sale and saw Tammy from Tammy's In Love there!
A couple of weeks ago I turned the bluebird table cloth into a valance over my kitchen window. See the snow! I also made the pillow below from a dresser scarf and it's the perfect color for my living room.
Sooooo, it was a PERFECT SPRING day today! Worked out in the yard yesterday and today. Also had hubby clean out "his" garage for our garage sale that we'll be having on the 18th, if the weather is NICE.

I put up a bluebird house today and sure hope they make a nest in it. I also bought meal worms for them, dried ones!

Washed some bed linens today and hung them on the clothesline! OH the SMELL so GOOD!

It just feels so GREAT to have the sun shinning and perfect temperatures. Thankful!!!

Thank you for the Birthday wishes! Have a Blessed Sunday!
Warmly,
deb

Aint that the truth!? Everyone is so happy that we finally have sunshine! Love the pillow from the dresser scarf, I have a linen one that is brown/tan tone instead of white that I'd like to convert.

Glad you found so much fun stuff at the garage sale! I hit VV on Penn after the estate sale...nothin. Then Unique where I found two Hull pottery brown bowls for 1.00 each. My kinda fun!

Love your valance and pillow!! I worked outside today, too. I got the garden cleaned-up a bit. A neighborhood in Apple Valley had garage sales today, but it was so crowded...no place to park, etc...I only hit a few of the sales.

How fun to run into a blogging friend. It's been a long winter. Love your valance. We've spent the last 24 hours cleaning up our yard. The girls are enjoying their tree house and I'm rewarding myself tomorrow with the first outdoor antique market of the season. Bring on SPRING!!

Great finds!! We had a few nice days here but then it got chilly and wet again. We still are due for a few more frosts before I can plant my flowers. Glad the sun is shining where you are!

Belated birthday wishes, Deb! Glad you had a good day. That cake looks yummy!! Remember that lunch box I bought from you years ago? It was red plaid, a modern day version of what I used as a child. Anyway, it is now home to all my distress markers, sharpies, gel pens, etc. I love it even more now!

Love the treasures you found, Deb! Those spoons are neat ~ I see Yogi in there. : ) The stuffed cat and dog are so cute. They remind me of things I used to sew years ago for my kids. I wonder if they still carry those fabrics with the patterns right on them to cut out, sew and stuff.

Your valance and pillow are great!! Too cute!! How fun to run into a blogpal!!! I'm going to try and hit an estate sale today...it's the last day, so it might be slim pickings, but the prices will be better! Yay for great weather! chris

Bobby and I also went garage sailing for the first time this season! There were only a few but that's okay. We have to go once Bobby gets off work and he's so tired. I'll show my treasures once my blog clears up.

Love your little blue bird curtains! Now that I know I can sew with fabric glue, I look forward to doing something fun with my cutters! ♥

I'm sorry I missed wishing you birthday greetings...but isn't April the loveliest month for a birthday...when it doesn't snow? I wouldn't trade April for any other month. =D
