Few Finds & Changes for Hubby

Since I had my garage sale on Thursday, I wasn't in a hurry to do some "shopping". We went 2nd day to a "packed" sale and I found these at 1/2 off! I want to alter a journal for personal use and I think one is just the right size.

My garage sale went well. We "made" $400.00 (LOL)....and now I'm in the process of cleaning out the garage and donating the leftovers. Nothing back into the house! It was a perfect day on Thursday too!

Hubby works for UPS and there was an opening for a "driver", full time work. He applied and will start in June. He works part time now. The real estate market isn't providing for us and this will. He will have 9+ hours a day and a pay cut for 2  years, but then it will be good! We spend most of the day together now. It will be a huge change for both of us!!! Puppies too! I'll be making changes with the antique business. May go down to selling at one shop....it's all GOOD!

Today is our 23rd wedding anniversary and it rained just like on our wedding day! Time flys!

With all the RAIN this weekend, the flowers are ready to burst. I can't wait for them to bloom and bring some inside to enjoy! Lilacs and lily of the valley!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Tomorrow is my duty day at Auntie M's!!!
Warmly,
deb

Happy Anniversary, Deb. congrats on 23 years. So happy your sale went well. it is a good feeling to get all that stuff out of our lives (and then we go back for more). Good news about your hubby and his job. Sounds like things are going your way. Now the flowers just need to bloom!

I often stop in to read your blog and ogle the pretty pictures, but I don't think I've commented before.

I was just looking at your pictures of the garage sale items...I think I wish I could have been there. In one picture I can just see the top of a framed print. It's sitting on the floor in front of a table. I'm dying to know what it was...it looks right up my alley.

Happy Anniversary and good luck to your hubby in his new job!

Happy Anniversary, Deb! It sounds like your garage sale was a success. I'm headed to Goodwill to drop some things off that I went through last week. I'm hoping I don't come home with more than I'm donating! Have a great week!

So glad you did well at your garage sale! I'm a planning on having one sometime this summer..gotta get rid of a few things and the extra funds wouldn't be too bad either! I'm glad your husband was able to increase his hours....the UPS man who delivers at my office is just the nicest man....I'm sure folks will feel the same about your husband! Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary! Glad you had a successful garage sale. I really like those crocheted pot holders that you found at the garage sale. No sales for me this weekend, and I think I have moved to Seattle instead of SW Virginia. It has rained for 5 days straight!

Blessings

DEb, All the changes sound real good, I so understand how crazy the Real Estate Business can be and you never know when your next paycheck is going to be! Plus medical Insurance... there is so much to consider, my hubby also does photography besides Real Estate so that helps. Hey our Anniversary is today 26 years! Wow I am feeling a bit old... Congratulations to you two! Hugs, Diane

Happy Anniversary to you and your guy! We will celebrate 23 years in July...it was 92-degrees that day and no air conditioning in the church! Good news about the job...it's tough out there. I've heard that UPS has a good benefit package.
We're trying to get ready for a garge sale here, too. 23 years of accumulated "stuff"...time to downsize!

Happy anniversary!!! How great, yes you will miss him. Call me blonde, but why would he go from part time to full time and lose pay for 2 years??? I am sure you will miss his help with the antique booths. plus he will be pooped! I know you will work it all out, heck making all of that money at the garage sale I am surprised you both aren't retiring!

Happy Anniversary! Love your attitude Deb! So happy that your hubby got that full time position, but I bet it will be an adjustment to everyone. Those puppies are going to have to start pulling their own weight, and helping out around the house!

Happy anniversary! sounds like you had a good yard sale, I'm having one on Friday. I'd love to make $400! Just hope I get rid of my stuff that I don't want any more.

I love to go to garage sales but I don't have them much anymore. I sell most of my cast offs at a consignment shop.

Happy Anniversary Deb. Glad your yard sale went well. Know what you guys are going through with the job situation. I was out of work for two years. When I finally got another job it was making half of my previous salary. But you know what, I am so much happier now than I could ever have imagined. The Lord blesses us in ways we can't see at the time, and he will bless you two as well.
Bear hugs,
Carol

Congrats on a good garage sale!! I always do one with my sisters in Winsted...we postponed it until July this year. My mom had knee surgery and we've been taking turns caring for my parents...no time to prepare :) Blessings to you and your hubby as you make the changes! "Change is good"...right?? ;)

Triple congratulations are in order (a bit late I know), your hubby got the driver job, you made $400 at your garage sale, and you celebrated your anniversary. The UPS driver job got my attention, I think one of our sons might enjoy that.
