Tweaked Mantle & Flea Market Finds

Added my Faux peonies to the mantle. I'm on the lookout for some in the pretty pink color.

Hubby and I went to the Trader's Flea Market and these are the goodies I picked up. LOVE the window. It needs to be sealed with varnish and then I'm going to find the perfect spot in my home for it! I also saw Faye there. I just can not pass up linens! BAD ME!!! LOL!

There is a new posting formant and I'm not able to see some of the icons on the top, like spell check...hmmm...why can't blogger leave stuff alone!

Another cloudy day with light rain...and it's COLD! I turned the furnace back on last night! REALLY!

Cleaned the house and did some laundry today! Also have the family room looking much better. I'm having a blogging friend come in June for a visit! Pretty excited about her visit and it gives me the best reason to get some things done around the house!

Warmly,
deb

I have a very similar window, although it is stained dark oak, I love it. You will love your window, too! I've hung cute things over it - and it just is such a great background. Oh, more linens...YES, YES, YES! I have so many I can't keep track of them. I know how it is! I just love seeing how you do up your mantel. I wish we lived closer so you could come over and dress up mine.

I always enjoy your mantle makeovers. I totally understand picking up more linens. I tend to do that too. Emma has a similar window in her bedroom and she has some of her favorite pictures in the various panes. We also turned on the heat yesterday. It was barely 50 degrees on Memorial day. A cold day at the cemetery for the 2 hour memorial service.

I cannot wait to see what you do with that window! Old windows are something that I rarely leave behind if the price is right. There are so many ideas for them.

Have a great week,

The mantle really looks good. I am a fan of using only a splash of color, like the faux peonies. This makes an area not too overwhelming and I would aspire to decorate a mantel in a similar way to this photo. That window could work in a lot of places.
