Booth Move

Hubby and I spent a couple of days last week moving into our new and closer to the front of the store space at Antiques Mn. Those glass display cases are HUGE, HEAVY and had to be taken apart to move! It's all fresh and clean with a little "different" look.

You can see just some of the old toys that we have for sale. Today I dug around for Valentine goodies. I have the vintage cards. I thought I had more things...oh well! Our booth is 10 X 15. I can't believe that we still have that AWESOME china cabinet for sale! It will not be painted by us! I only paint small tables and such. Not vintage pieces with such detail and charm.

You have probably heard that the weather in MN is BEYOND FREEZING! It may get to -52 with the wind chill on Monday! So, I'm going to stay inside and make some Valentines:)Maybe I'll cuddle up the the puppies! I know that we aren't the only state that has COLD weather.

Sad news, Archiver's, is closing it's doors. It's a MN scrapbook company that has stores in some states. I went there today and bought some papers and embellishments with Christmas money. I will sure miss them. I LOVE to buy paper that I can touch and see.   :(

Keep warm and safe these next few days!

Great Luck with your "New" Space how fun to work together on your booth. My hubby supports me but does not like to hunt for Vintage Goodies. Happy 2014!

You new space looks great, Deb. Love it-fresh and clean looking. Good for you for not painting really good pieces. You watch..someday in the future people will be stripping all that paint off-lol. It all goes in cycles.

Sorry that your store is closing. xo Diana

Good luck in your new space, Deb! It looks like you've got plenty of room, too. Love the toy trucks. I am looking to go the opposite way with my booth. I put my name in for the smaller size booth today.

Stay warm and have fun making Valentines. Our daughter lives in the Milwaukee area and expects a -30 windchill on Monday.

The store looks great. I cant even imagine how cold it is there. I would be staying indoors to.

I too sell vintage in the Twin Cities and am a believer in keeping wood natural - I just stripped a bookcase that maintained it's dark color but lost stains. So pretty but if someone wants to buy it and paint it, have at it, but it won't be me!

Your booth looks wonderful, Deb...love all of those toys! I thought Archiver's might be closing when I went in to buy a gift card for a Christmas gift, and they weren't selling them. Too bad...
Stay warm!!

Good luck with your new space. I wish I lived closer. I'd love to shop at your booth. The winter storm started this afternoon. We are expecting up to 19 inches of snow over the next couple of days with crazy temps. The girls are hoping to delay their break and have a snow day on Monday. I love the idea of playing with Valentines. Cozy up with those pups.

Your new space is nice and bright! I've wondered how heavy those cases are. With my back, I look at all the potential things I couldn't do but hopefully my back will be better and strong within a year!

You and those pups stay warm! we had 40 below in SD. Thankfully, that was a warm house! ♥

Hi Deb, your new booth space looks great. It is inviting and I would love to spend some time shopping there. What a sweet and cozy pic of the pups.
Stay warm and safe in this awful cold weather. We are feeling it way down here in Texas too. Very cold.
Have a blessed Sunday.

Hi Deb!
The new booth looks great! I'll go and visit it real soon. I need a vintage fix, and it seems I always find something from your booth! I'm bummed about Archiver's too. I loved to go there when I needed some special paper. Was everything on sale yet?
Well, we are ready for tomorrow! I'm making chili in the crockpot, and we're stocked up on hot chocolate, and firewood! Hope you are too! :)
Stay Warm!

-52!!!! Yikes, I was feeling sorry for us because we're going to have a high of -1 on Tuesday. I'll keep my whining to myself.
I love your new booth..it just seems so much brighter. Hope it brings lots of good sales for you...you know I would be there if we weren't hundreds of miles away!
Can you tell me the price of the cute red pick-up truck? You know I've become obsessed with trucks..hahahaha. I don't know why, they just really appeal to me.
Stay warm, don't go out! Hot chocolate or tea is a must and warm, fuzzy socks!

You did a great job on your booth! I loved looking through it. Wish I could jump through the monitor and actually go shopping. I can't believe that the china cabinet was not bought immediately. That was the first thing that caught my eye while looking at your pictures. Wish I was closer, it might have come home with me :)

love that little red pick up on those shelves! where were you when I was looking for one all over the place!? lol! I know.. you didnt know I was looking. they look so awesome with bottle brush trees in them and displayed for christmas.
your booth looks great.
As for the weather. We're supposed to get it too. our windchills are only supposed to go to 20 to 30 below. I say only because I know yours are supposed to go much lower. but 20 to 30 below is bad enough! lol!
stay warm and safe my friend!

We are freezing our tail feathers off down here in the south! It is supposed to be -20 tonight with the wind chill, though I know it is much colder where you are. Stay warm!

Your booth looks so nice Deb! I hate it when a booth is so cluttered and tight that you can't see things without knocking stuff over.
Our high today is -13 and we got almost 2' of snow. Crazy winter, and it's only the beginning of January!
Stay Warm!

Happy New Year and it looks like you are off to a great start with your new space! I had to tell you, that little State Fair dolly on your previous post sure brought back a lot of memories! I remember getting little dollies & stuffed animals on canes like that every year. TFS, Nan

I think there is an Archivers here if I am not mistaken. My sister used to go, wonder if they are closing everywhere. Congrats on your new space. That china will sell for sure now :) We are cold here too with ten inches of snow. Stay warm if you can!

Your booth looks great! And I'm so happy that you are closer to the front. It's such a huge store, and someone with just a little bit of time might not make it to the back where your treasures were. Maybe one day I will get to see it again :-)
