Mother of the Bride Dress

I KNOW that you are all Excited to see my Mother of the Bride dress.....so here it is!!! The photos don't show the "glitterness" on it...(photos from cell phone). I need to have the straps shorten, image that...I'm only 5'3", but look taller because I wear my hair "puffy".... or is it "big"...LOL!!!

There is slit on the side. I'm pretty sure that I will have to have it shorten too. I'm not a skinny as the dress looks on this hanger! LOL!!!  I will need wear a spanx thing LOL!!! and as I have mentioned before, get my arms in shape, other than "wing like"...  LOL!!! Laughing is good :)  It's a one piece with jacket. I bought it at an consignment shop, tags still on for...........$35.00.........Score, Right!!! I think I'll look for sandals this summer. Black, probably. The Bride is wearing white flip-flops!  Mother of the Bride is not :)

I LOVE saying, Mother of the Bride!!!  Next Friday is the cake testing. The date kept getting changed as the Bride wants the Top Baker to make her cake! I'll take photos! I do know that she wants a "square" cake, with bling around each layer.

I've been under the weather this week. COLD....started Monday and went to a "minute clinic" today and got a RX for the cough. Not a "spring chicken" any more! Glad that it is just a cold.

Grandgirl has a NEW PUPPY BROTHER and I'll show him off on the next post! He is darling! She doesn't like me to call him, her puppy brother! She is at that age where she isn't the "sweet" little girl...trying to grow up and friends are more important than family....anyway...

Guess what??? Its snowing! Might just be home bound tomorrow. It is a pretty snowfall! Huge, fat flakes.
Has anyone, I mean, Anyone, Seen SPRING!!!???

Warmly,
deb

What a beautiful dress. I can't believe the price. That's the deal of the century! Have fun cake testing. You'll definitely need to model the dress for all of us.

PS. We're getting freezing rain on top of our mountains of snow today. I don't think spring will ever come.

We have had Spring all week. Actually we had Summer an hour ago. We'll have Autumn tonight. That is your weather report from southwest Louisiana. Linda@Wetcreek Blog

Your dress is really glamorous without being over the top. Elegant! It will look stunning with your coloring. I prefer a dress with a jacket (or an overcoat to hide my upper arms!) You will be radiant!
Spring...what's that? We have had warmer temps the past 2 days so the streets are much better but winter is far from over. We once had 24 inches of snow on St. Patrick's Day!
Hope you feel better quickly!

It's a beautiful dress, and what a bargain! I am sure you'll be gorgeous, but not more gorgeous that the bride.
This seems to be the winter that is never ending....the lake saved us from snow today, but the wind is whipping around tonight.

Very elegant and classy dress, and love that you found it at the thrift. Amazing!

Spring peeking in here today with 60 degrees, but then nasty rain and rain moving in.

We may be seeing spring here as the temps have warmed all week and one day was even 82 degrees. But let's see if it lasts!!

Deb, I love your dress. It will be perfect and I know you will look great. I swear finding my MOB dress was harder then my daughter's wedding dress. I was happy with mine when it was finally found. Love the puppy brother. Tiger is starting to ask for a real brother or sister, but it's not happening yet. LOL! Hope you feel better soon. Hugs, Linda

What a lovely, sparkly dress! The cake tasting should be a lot of fun. Or at least yummy! Kids all go through that wonderful teen phase and we just have to love them through it. So glad it doesn't last forever.

My daughter, who is no where near to being engaged, has asked me (more than once) to go to bakeries and fake being engaged just so we could eat cake!!! Slippery slope there!

On the other hand, I will be a mother of the groom this summer and it will be one of the smallest weddings in history so no worries about what I will wear. Super happy that they are doing their wedding their way.
