Easter Mantle, Sunset & Friends

I have started to put up a few Easter decorations on the mantle. The snow is melting, but I haven't found the "spring" in my step!

I took this photo the other evening! Just a beautiful sunset outside my window! Amazing beauty.

We girls grew up in the same neighborhood and have been friends for MANY years! Sharon, the one in the middle had her birthday on Monday. She lives in a nursing home. We are all the same age. Her speech is a whisper at most and she is fed her meals. She has had health problems and now has short term memory loss. She doesn't recognize people right away. I know she loves it when we visit, which I should do more is hard to understand why certain things happen to people you care about.

The snow is MELTING!!! A LOT!!!  Hurray!!! I've seen peeks of grass!

Grandgirl is having her birthday on Saturday. The family party is on Sunday! She is tall, thin and looks way beyond her 11 years:)  Happy weekend! Think Spring!

Such a lovely picture. I'm sure it's bittersweet seeing your friend. Love your Easter mantle. We're all thinking and dreaming of spring at our house too. Our piles of snow are starting to shrink and we've done our last skate on the rink tonight (I think). Enjoy your granddaughter's birthday party. What fun!

So nice you still get together with friends you know from long ago, although I'm sure it is hard when your friend is ill.
Have fun at your granddaughter's birthday! We are celebrating my littlest grandson's 2nd birthday tomorrow!

Hi Deb! I love your mantle! And I'm happy to see that you're able to spend time with the girls you grew up with. Yes, why do sad things like that even have to happen?
That sunset looks like an Easter Egg! And wasn't today just wonderful? Maybe this winter actually will come to an end after all!

Your mantle is so "springy" I love it! I am sure that your friend loves the time she gets to spend with you and the other ladies. "Old" friends are the best friends.

Happy Birthday to little grandgirl!

Your mantel looks very sweet...the bunnies are cute! I haven't even thought about Easter decorations yet. Winter just won't give up here. We may have some snow on Sunday into Monday again. Ack!
The picture of you and your friends is something to treasure. How lucky you all are to have each other for so many years. You are a good friend and I'm sure that your friend in the nursing home is happy to see you.
Keep thinking Spring, will come!

What a great trio of friends! I love your photo. My girlfriends from the days of working at a major medical center still meet me once every few months for breakfast. We chat, we catch up and enjoy! I found you at Francie's blog. I love seeing your Easter mantle. SO pretty and here in Colorado we have gone from 60 to 25 in a day! Sigh! Wicked winds and bitter cold. No fun! Have a beautiful weekend. Hugs, Anne
