Baby Bluebirds :) & Recent Finds

Awww...5 tiny bluebird babies...kind of ugly right now...the mom & dad are busy bringing them little green inch worms to eat. We "look" when the parents are away from the nest box.

While we on our day trip last week, there was a scrapbook store next to an antique I bought a few pieces of paper. I LOVE PAPER!!! The dog paper will be fun to use. PRETTY paper also calls to me!

Recent finds between the day trip and flea market last weekend.

More paper goodies, Lu Ray plates and little finds.

Wooden bluebirds and a sweet doggie planter...

We had our garage sale yesterday and it wasn't very good. Just over 300.00...last year it was over 1,000.00
WHAT HAPPENED! Well, we had it along with the city wide garage sales, not a good idea and last year it was before Memorial day! NOTE TO SELF for next year!!!

Tomorrow and Sunday I'll be helping at the estate sale. I hope that is successful for the family.

My yard is overgrown with weeds and the grass to tall. Anyone up for yard work next week???

My computer is acting I'm going to post before I lose the post! Enjoy the weekend.

Hubby Surprised Me !

Our 25th Wedding anniversary was this week....25 Years!!! Hubby surprised me by taking me to this B&B in Redwing!  It is called The Moondance Inn. Awww...It is a 100+ year old home and was so awesome inside...

This is one end of the living room. I didn't want to bore you with many photos, just a few! LOL! We both love the old world charm...

This is one side of the huge dinning room. We had breakfast here.
This was the room we had. They have 5 rooms to rent. The bed is so high off the ground that hubby had to help me...I could have used a step stool!!!

When you walked into the room, this is what you see first! We did have our own bathroom too!

and hubby went the "extra" yard and had flowers, chocolates and wine in the room !! I am so blessed to have a wonderful hubby! Sure, some days aren't as "nice" or easy, but all in all, He is the One for Me!
Thank you best hubby ever!!!  Even thou he doesn't read my blog...he needs to know :)

We also went to a few antique stores and a scrapbook store. I'll show you my few finds soon!

I'm having a garage sale next week, hopefully, and I am also helping a friend with her upcoming estate sale which is next week too!!  Throw in a duty day on Tuesday and there is my week, next week

Have a great weekend!!

Cards, Finds & Jeanne Update

On Tuesday, Erica and Tammy came over and we made cards!!! Above are the ones we made and below are the ones I made the next day as I was in the card making grove! LOL!!! The seed cards are copies of the original seed packets that I have in my little collection...oops, I see candy and someones hand!!

It's fun to make cards :)

On Monday I worked my duty day. At this shop, when people come in to SELL their goodies you can buy them! The dealers who arrive first in the morning, get first choice. I was working with 2 guy and I was the 2nd dealer in, SO, these are my duty day purchases! ALL for $23.00 !!! SCORE...they are from 2 different sellers. I got over 60 Hankies for $4.00!!! I've washed them and will iron them soon! I've been neglectful in adding new things to the booths!! I'm keeping the reindeer tin and a couple teacups.

We looked into the bluebird nest and there are "5" eggs!!! Hooray!!! Can't wait for 5 baby bluebirds!

Went to visit Jeanne today at the hospital. Her speech is better than I expected :) It has affected her right side. Later today she was going to be transferred to "rehab" for a week or so! THANK YOU SO MUCH for your Prayers! God heard and is answering! She is having "double" vision and keeps her eyes shut most of the time. The doctors think this will go away...praying so!

Hubby and I went to a couple estate sales today. Busy day and ready to relax! I hope your weekend is Joyful!!  Thankful for your friendship!

p.s. Marge, the ferns that we got from your homestead last summer and growing beautifully and you met Jeanne at the garage sale last summer.

Tea Party Tables

There were 25 tables set for the Tea Party on Saturday. I'm showing just a few :)   The one above is the table that I set. My favors, the teacup coaster, were made by Stephanie at the Enchanting Rose. It is fun to see how the tables were set. Unique to that person. Sorry, I didn't take photos of all of the tables. I was busy helping.

It was a nice day and went well. Almost 200 ladies/children. Yummy foods that were served by the men. A woman from my church spoke, there was a fashion show of costumes from different countries and a harp player! I hope those who attended were blessed!

Erica and Tammy were over today and we made some post!

p.s. My BFF went in for knee surgery today and ended up having a stroke...please pray for a complete recovery for her. Of course the surgery is postponed for awhile. She is in ICU. Her hubby said that the doctors are expecting a good recovery...however, I praying for a complete recovery and no side affects! Thank you so much!! Her name is Jeanne...

A Little Gardening & Old House Charm

Since it was a Perfect Spring day, I did a little "gardening"...I received these sweet purple pansies for my birthday and decided they would be great in this old birdbath that has seen better days. We have glued it a couple of times!!  I have 3 other birdbaths for the birds to use.

I am hoping that the bluebird will make a nest in the house I have out for them. They keep checking it out, but I don't think they are nesting in it...  :(

I know it is a funny angle, but I wanted you to see the cool stairway in the awesome Old House that I was in on Friday!

Very cool door knob! I SO WANT THIS!!! It would be a Perfect addition to my collection. However, I don't see that happening.... We didn't work in the basement on Friday. Worked upstairs in closets and window bench seats, finding some treasures that the family will keep.

This photo is taken at the old house. Just beautiful flowering trees. I have no idea on what kind they are. I just had to take a photo!!!

Hubby and I went to 3 estate sales this morning and then worked in the yard...

This weeks schedule, (LOL)  Monday: duty day, Tuesday: give blood and get tea things ready for the church tea party on Saturday, Wednesday: I may meet with a friend, Thursday: fellowship/sharing day at Bible Study Fellowship, Friday: preparing for tea party, set table, help make food, etc...Saturday: Tea Party!

Poor sister was in pain on Wednesday when I visited her...we went to a quilt shop and I picked out fabric for a quilt that she is making me for my 60th birthday. We probably should have stayed at her home.

I hope you all have a enjoyable weekend!!
