QuiltedTable Runner & PF, da-boot

My baby sister has taken up quilting and made this beautiful table runner for me...even while dealing with her cancer...She is also making me a quilt for my bed in grey tones...What a trooper she is and THANK YOU BABY SISTER!!! XOXOXOX

 It is reversible too!

SO...I've been having pain in my right foot for a FEW weeks...wobbling along.  Last night I had so much pain in my right hip that I went to an ortho group today...I have plantar fasciitis and a heal spur which has caused me to limp along  to cause a  strain my hip...got a shot of cortisone, boot for 2 weeks that I take off to drive, sleep, etc....x-rays and my home exercise program...should be okay in 2 weeks....SO, no more flip-flops, sad sad face, wear "supportive shoes"...(aka...grandma shoes) very thankful nothing serious!!

Is this what 60 is all about??!?!?!?!  LOL!!!

The weather has "cooled off"...guess I could pull so weeds...nah...think I'll take a nap...
warmly,
deb

Oh you are so lucky! How wonderful your sister knows how to quilt! That is next on my list! I had the same thing happen to my foot too! Bless your heart! Those hurt. The brace you have on should do the trick! Get better! ❤️

Yikes! Not good. I had one of those boots a few years ago when
I fractured my heel. It was not fun. Hope you feel better soon.

Your sister is so talented! What a beautiful keepsake. I can relate to foot pain having been through two surgeries. My flip flop days are long gone. Get better soon and follow the doctors orders. XOXO

Hi Deb, what a beautiful table runner your sister made. She is so talented!! Continued prayers for her. So sorry you have PF. My hubby has this too and struggles with it off and on. He does special exercises too and it really helps. Hope you'll be better soon. Take good care.

What a gorgeous runner. Your sister did an outstanding job! I had plantar fasciitis 2 different times, its awful. Had a cortisone injection and 2nd time and it was a big help. Yup, wearing those orthopedic shoes now, lol. The flat sandals and flip flops are the worst for it. I did find a really cute pair of sandals that are well designed for orthopedic support on LL Bean. Of course they are expensive, but I got them on sale and they are the only sandals I can wear now.

Such pretty table runners! Love them! Ouch! Sorry to hear of your health problems. Know how it is after suffering through sciatica and then a kidney stone!

What a lovely table runner! Your sister must be an amazing lady! So sorry to hear you have been having health problems as well. I will pray for both you and your sister.

Beautiful table runner! It must be quite calming for your sister to quilt. I cannot wear flat shoes either, but found I can wear Dr Scholl's sandals (great arch support and a cushioned heel). If I wear Clarks, Skeecher's or any good (and expensive) shoe, I am okay. I never had to wear the boot except when I broke my ankle.

Oh dear I had to deal with that and now can only wear hard sole shoes.
I wear dansko's or any sandal with a hard arch support
never go bare footed in the house, guess dr told you that?

Now a friend of mine is hopping around and has the same thing, what is this that our arches break down at like you said a young age of 60??

your sister table runner is same pattern as one I have that a lady made me for a gigt

I miss flip-flops too because of plantar fasciitis too. There are good support sandals now. I can't even wear Keds anymore. I so enjoy your blog!

Oh - so sorry that you are having foot issues...I've had the Plantar stuff but not a bone spur. I know those hurt pretty bad by themselves. I've had to wear supportive shoes but not granny ones for quite a while...well, I wear Birki's not sure if you consider those granny shoes...they are wide enough for all my issues - dang.

Love your table runner and can't wait to see your new quilt. Fun to have something your sis makes for you. Prayers to you both.

I'm dealing with plantar faciitis, too, Deb. It's gotten much worse over the past year and even hurts when I'm trying to sleep. I'm going to address this issue at my next yearly physical if I can make it that long. It's very painful!! I hope you get relief soon.

Your sister does lovely quilt work!
