"Cleaning-up in the Craft room"

I am embarrassed to show you my craft room...I have let it go into a huge MESS!!  It is not good to let things go like this....this is looking into the room seeing 2 walls. There is more that you don't see! OH MY!

I have been working in it this week. Cleaning, removing, sorting and making a donation or 2 to the thrift store! I craft standing up and hope to put new legs on my craft tables so that I will use them. I make things at the kitchen counter because the height works for me. That project will happen when the weather is warmer as hubby will be doing it for me. :)

Thanks for all the sweet comments about my Valentine mantle!

It has been BITTER cold and I had a flat tire on Monday...but didn't realize it until I stopped! Driving on a flat tire leads to a ruined tire. Hubby came and tired to put the spare tire on which would not come off.  So, off to the tire store to get 2 new tires. I am so thankful that I did not ruin the rim!

I am Loving Zumba! I'm learning the routines until she does a new one! I am in the back row :)  There are a couple of men that come to Zumba.

Keep warm!

My craft room/storage/junk room is a mess also. But I'm working on it and starting to donate lots of stuff so I have more room to store things in the closet!! Yay. Stay warm.

hugs,
Linda

I'm starting to work on mine, too! It is crazy right now, too (I wish mine was as neat as yours lol). Glad you made it home with that tire...too cold to be out stranded somewhere!

My craft room looked a lot like that until tuesday. I was home from work and spent most of the day slowly cleaning up and I threw a ton of stuff away!
just think how nice it will be when its all done.
have a great day my friend

Hi Deb, I have been trying to fix the mess in my space this week too. I sorted, reorganized, filled Goodwill bags and reconfigured to function better. We all seem to be refreshing rooms this month. I also stand to create and use bed risers to raise my table to counter height. I do have a drafting chair for close up painting but for the most part, stand all day. It keeps me moving and stepping. The risers work great if you decide to try them. Bed Bath and Beyond has two sizes so you can get the one that works the best. I tried the highest and it was too high so settled on the average size about 7 inches tall I believe. Been using them for years.

Have a great day and fun in your creative space. xo

I can relate! My creative space is way TOO small . . . . I would love to be able to add a chair in it so I can read or just have a little corner to relax in . . . show us after pictures!

I think anyone who crafts is pretty familiar with that photo, my craft room looks just like that sometimes! What a blessing to be able to have a separate room for the glorious mess!

I wish I had a craft room! My stuff ends up all over the house and I have to put it away every day. Good luck sorting through all your supplies!

I need to start some sort of exercise class. Too much sitting around during the cold months!

WOW!! I do not have nearly that much to organize in my place! Now I feel as though I can get mine organized!! I tried Zumba at the college where I work and it almost killed me. LOL I have bad knees and could not do as much jumping. And when the teacher told us to pop our booty, well, this 63 year old said no can do!

Oh thanks so much for sharing your photo! That could be my craft space, lol. I wanted to string some hearts for my little valentine tree and I had to bring my supplies to the living room because my craft table was overflowing. I've already taken stuff to the thrift and there will be more headed there.

Good for you with the zumba. My knee never fully recuperated, I'm glad to be walking almost without limping. I love the vintage valentine box in your heading, gorgeous! :)

I went thru and organized my fabric and gave some old outdated fabric to the Goodwill. My work table needs to be cleaned up and I hope to get to it soon.

Good for you to organize your craftroom. Can't wait to see what you and your hubs come up with for your table. Glad you got your tires fixed-that's kinda scary having a flat and it being so cold outside. Hooray for you and Zumba,Deb. Doesn't matter if you are in the back or front row, just that you are getting it done! Stay warm.

Glad I am not the only one with a disaster for a craft room! I too, have been sorting and started with my paper, as I am going to a crop today! I am going to figure out a goal system on how to attack this mess, and put the before and after pics in my smash book. Hating the bitter cold! Brrrrrrrrrrrr!

We were thinking along the same lines, my friend. Just this afternoon I finished organzing my craft room and now it feels oh-so-nice. I know it won't last for long, but such is the way of crafting {{smiles}}

Have a lovely Sunday. Hugs!

I LOVE your studio...it's a Disneyland for a crafter!!! Please please please if you can save some of your unwanted craft supplies for my measly MN crafting corner, I would LOVE you forever!!!

I cannot even imagine what the cold you're experiencing and to top it off having a flat...YUCK!!! I ruined a rim once and it was costly!!!

So glad to hear your loving Zumba! I hear you really work out a sweat!
Stay safe and warm!!!

Your craft room looks like creative chaos which is a good thing, and I imagine you get inspired when you are in there.

My little studio always looks like a bomb went off in it after the holidays! I had to clean it up since I was hosting a candle party this past weekend - pressure and incentive always help get it done! I have to admit it feels good to be able to find things. Your Valentine mantel is gorgeous!! I love vintage Valentine boxes and have mine displayed on my buffet. They're so sweet aren't they? Stop by if you have a moment Deb - We'd love to see you - Blessings to you and yours for a very happy new year - Edie Marie & Marie Antoinette

Good for you on keeping up with your zumba class! My craft room goes through stages of cleaning but most of the time it looks like a mad scientist lives there. I'm glad I have a door and can shut it!
