My Word for 2017

Sometimes I find my words and actions unkind. Being kind to one another should be so easy. A smile to a stranger, opening the door for someone, sending a note to a friend, calling your Mom (one I need to do more often), calling a friend, making a meal for someone the list could go on and on.

With the shooting just hours ago at an airport in Florida with 5 dead and 8 injured, KINDNESS certainly is needed.

Did you choose a word this year!?
warmly,
deb

Deb ,
I couldn't agree more ...this world definitely needs more Kindness . I think you have chosen a great word for the New Year. I however have not chosen one this year as of yet ...I just haven't had a word "scream " at me :) . I hope you have a great year and look forward to future posts . hugs Angela

Deb, My word is strength. I want to be stronger. I have felt my strength wane this past year and I want it back. :) I have a little plaque that says Kindness Matters...and it does I am not mean to people, I try to think what kind of day are they having. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

That shooting in FL just makes me sick. I just heard the guy was released from the National Guard because of his behavior a while back....and they let him have a gun???? Just so sad. I hope we see some big changes in curtailing these wack jobs before they have a chance to act.
Love the word- KINDNESS--it is one I promote to my grandkids ALL the time..to Always be kind no matter what! xo Diana

It sure was sad to watch the news tonight and see the terrible things happening. I chose Kindness as my word this year too. I know we can't go wrong showing kindness to each other. You are such a sweet person already! I know you'll have a good year! Hugs, Diane

A great word Deb. Somehow folks have forgotten to have manners and be kind to each other. We need more kindness in 2017. I haven't chosen a word, think I need a dozen of them.

Your word is simply perfect, my friend. We do indeed need more kindness in the world.

Wishing you a blessed New Year. Love and hugs!

A great word, Deb! I agree, we all need to be kinder to one another. My word is "Joy." I need that this year.

If I had a word it would either be compassion or tolerance. Both seem to be important to the new year and new presidency.

people can practice random acts of kindness everyday. Hugs!!

I didn't choose a word, but I think your is something we could all practice a little more of. I'm going to take your advice and call my mother more often. I'm lucky to have her and don't always show her how appreciated she is. Thanks for the kind advice, Deb!

I bought my wood angel at an antique shop/mall on a side street in Anoka. Is that where your booth is?

I didn't choose a word this year but now I'm going to come up with one! I have done that in the past but my year started out with a minor but distracting illness that slowed me down a bit. So now I'm just getting "into" being motivated for the New Year. I'm a bit behind! "Kindness" for sure, is a good one! I'm kicking the blogging year off with a Give-Away so check it out! Happy New Year!
