Seaside Mantel & Question

I just LOVE the ocean or to be at a lake. There is something about the water that is calming! Since I can't be at either...my seaside mantel will have to do! :)

The green and white fish is for appetizers. Isn't that sweet!

Full shot of the mantel. The lady on the fish I've had for a few years. She is a flower frog. No marking on her.

Do any of you remember "A Swap for All Seasons" blog? It was where we exchanged a card, tag and bits & bobs in a color of the swap. I have been thinking of having one for a few months, starting in August. I will do a special post at the end of the month that will have sign ups. Anyone interested???

I hope you are enjoying the summer. It's going by so fast!

AND... Debbie Kay is coming next week to visit! We have been blogging friends for 8 or 9 years. I will certainly take some photos of our time together.

warmly,
deb

Not near the ocean and I am going to have to miss out on a trip there this yr. but...I live between two lakes so I have water around! I love the ocean better than the lake.

I love all of your pretty seashells and things from the ocean! Perfect to enjoy them on the mantle. I need to work on a new vignette! Hugs!

I would be interested in the swap if you set it up. That blog/swap was so much fun.

Beautiful mantle! The beach brings such a feeling of peace and calm to me. I won't be making a trip to the ocean this year but it is okay. I have many other things planned. I would be interested in knowing more of the swap that you speak of.

Oh- I love your mantle. We are blessed to be on the water and, like you, I find it calming and it is restorative to me. We will be downsizing and moving soon and I am certainly hoping that we can remain close to the water.
Have fun with your blogging friend. xo Diana

Love your pretty and fun mantle Deb! The expressions on the fish are priceless. I luckily live near the coast and see the water nearly daily. It's restorative!

How exciting that Debbie Kay is coming to visit! Oh the two of you will have so much fun and probably stay up half the night talking....special girlfriend time!

I jut cleaned out most of my craft stuff, but probably could come up with enough for a card and tag, lol.

Have fun! :)

I would be interested in a swap. I didn't know about the last one you did, but would like to find out more about it and participate. :)

I love your blue lady on the fish. I'm headed to the beach next week. I'll be needing lots and lots of sunscreen! Your swap sounds interesting, of love to join in if it's open to non-bloggers too.

You and I are in the same 'boat' -- love the ocean but not anywhere near one! We vacation (and hope to retire to) on St. Simons Island, GA every year in the fall so that's my taste of what I love for now. I too do my 'mantle' in a beach theme. I'll probably post it soon. I love that idea of the swap -- you could definitely count me in for that!
