Christmas Decor 2017 & Christmas Luncheon

Here is my Christmas for this year. I went with my vintage glass ornaments, tinsel and white lights. Very simple and easy!

My mantel is also simple. I wanted a clean look this year. There are white lights on the mantel.

This past Saturday was the Christmas luncheon at church. This is the candy bar before we loaded the jars with the candy. It's always a huge hit with the young and old!!!

This is the table that I set and I used paper plates! The theme was Winter Wonderland. We served quiche, salad, bun, wassail, coffee and for dessert, mini bundt cakes. Chocolate with peppermint, white chocolate raspberry, red velvet and eggnog. Delicious!!!

Are you all decorated for Christmas??? How's the shopping going? I need to get going on my shopping and cards. In fact, I need to make some cards.

The snow is coming tonight and the cold too! Winter is coming.
warmly,
deb

Your tree looks lovely - I remember as a kid using tinsel. I'm glad I'm seeing it more and more again and with your vintage ornaments, it's perfect! That luncheon sounds wonderful and you did a great job on your table. I would NOT have thought those were paper plates - isn't it amazing how many options we have now? Now I'm not surprised the candy bar was popular - such a great idea. I've heard of them at wedding receptions but never thought of them in other settings. I'd be first in line haha! We were at 64 degrees here today!! We even mowed the lawn one more time! BUT, starting tomorrow -- 20's. I'm weeping. BUT no snow yet thank goodness!! Stay warm!

I always love to see your decorated tables for the holiday luncheon. It's gorgeous and your home looks beautiful too. I made myself take a break from decorating. I started changing things and felt overwhelmed. I'm regrouping! heehee

Your simple but elegant look is amazing! I had not seen anyone use tinsel in a long time as I remember my grandma using it every year. It was so messy as it stuck to everything except the tree it seemed. I am not anywhere near ready this year and I don't know why. Hubby and I bought a tree yesterday evening and it is outside for now, I may work on it when I get home today.

Everything is so pretty! I'm going simpler this year but see me doing even more downsizing as the years go on. Still getting the JOY of the season without quite as much work. Hugs!
